R & S Construction

On his first day the contractor was hours late. Then when he got here he apologized and explained about how he ordered the wrong size door for another client and was dealing with that. First all I think it's unprofessional to complain about your job to your client and second of all I should of got the hint that this guy was gonna be trouble. Then he proceeded upstairs to work for 4 hours. There were times when I could hear him on the phone and then long periods of silence. When he left, I went upstairs to check his work and it was terrible. He just slabbed spackle on the big crack and left it. Mind you my wall is near crubling down! For 4 hours that's all he did! The next day he came and was upstairs for hours and the whole time I could hear him talking on the phone again and when he left it looked like he didn't even touch it. By this time my faith in this guy was dwindling. I told myself that the next day if he doesn't finish I'm gonna have to fire him. I started questioning if I was being too impatient or notunderstanding enough. Then the next day, the same thing happened. When he came down I told him to charge me for whatever work or time he had spent because I didn't want him to come back. I didn't think I had to pay him at all but I hate conflict and I just wanted him to leave peacefully. Two days after I fired him, the wall crumbled. I was so angry! I wish I would of fired him the first day.
