In March 2010, we had our kitchen and stairways patched and repainted in the same color as was previously there. Don gave us a great quote, and received good references from local realtors. He completed the work in 2.5 days, less than the 3-4 that he originally estimated. He's a very laid back guy, and friendly to have around. However, he did leave all his painting tools, dropsheets, etc crammed into our small first floor half-bath overnight wihtout asking (we couldn't use it) and the linoleum was scuffed. Because we were relatively happy with the interior work, we hired him back to repaint our front and back porch floors, power spray the front of our home, and repaint the entire detached garage in July 2010. Again, the quote was very reasonable, and Don met our timeframe for repainting by shuffling his schedule. Unfortunately, much of the work ended up being poor quality. He chose an acrylic based paint for the front porch and painted over the original oil based paint. Result: The paint scrapes off when we move our porch chairs around, and becomes tacky when wet, when it rains. He scraped and primed and repainted our garage, but did not allow time for the primer to dry before applying paint, and so we have wide, whitish swipes across parts of the sides and front. Additionally, parts of the paint are already peeling...I don't know what happened there. And again, he decided to store his drop cloths, paint sprayer, ladder, and other tools in our empty hot tub at night, without asking for a more appropriate place. This left paint chips and scuffs inside the tub (which we had recently emptied for a cleaning). Overall, very friendly guy, reasonably priced, and will work with your time frame, but I would never recommend for exterior work.
Description of Work: Interior painting in kitchen, lower level half bath, and two stairwells. Later, we had exterior painting on porches and garage, as well as power spraying.
