MAPLE LANE INC

I called and left a message for Jeff Jones of Maple Lane Construction on April 5, 2010. He returned the call within 20 minutes and we arranged a time for him to make measurements needed for an estimate. He showed up as expected. He provided a labor estimate of $425 and door estimates of $767, $877 and $1188 for three different styles of door. I chose the $1188 door. It took about three weeks for the custom door to be delivered. Jeff arrived on schedule, June 2, 2010 to install the door. The appearance of the door is fine. However, the first thing I noticed was on opening the door. Without any force applied, the door swings inward and bangs against the interior wall. By July I noticed that the upper lock side of the door was binding. By August the door was binding enough to make it difficult to open and close. On August 3, 2010 I called Jeff to explain and ask him to stop and take a look at the door to determine what needs to be done to correct the problems. He didn't answer so I left a message. He did not respond. I called again on August 5, 2010 and left a second message. He did not respond. I called again on August 11, 2010. Jeff answered, I described the problem with the door binding and he agreed to stop on August 13, 2010 at 11:00 am. Jeff did not show and did not call. I sent Jeff a letter to inform him that I would pursue what ever action was necessary to get the door working properly. Jeff responded with a phone call, scheduled a time to make the adjustments, showed as agreed and completed the work. The door has worked as it should since then and I am satisfied with the quality of the work.
