I have used this business before and was always happy with the service and results but something has happened in the 2-3 years since I last used them.
On this job they often missed days on the job, pulled worker(s) off the job early to go to other jobs, gave days / times when the worker(s) would be on site only to have no shows.
When called to follow up the owner was always courteous but after 12 weeks I finally came to the conclusion this guy was flying by the seat of his pants juggling jobs and employees just to keep head above water.
This job could have been done in 3-4 weeks if the work was consistent and even quicker if he had more than 1 guy on the job at any given time.
Maybe you'll have better luck but I won't be using this business again.
A few days later, I got the bill in the mail. I was billed for 1.75 hours. I called at 4:50pm on the day I got the bill to ask about the charges, but the man told me he was heading out of town and didn't want to discuss it now, so would call back. He never took my info, but hung up. I waited about a week, and after never hearing back, I called again. I was told that they would take 15 minutes off the time, but I would still need to pay for 1.5 hours. I stated that this didn't seem right, as the plumber was at my house about an hour, with the chunk of that time spent fixing their non-ready equipment. He explained to me that I had to pay for the time spent going back to the office, picking up equipment, doing the job, then going back to the office and unloading the equipment. He said that the 15 minute reduction was all he could do, then transferred me to his secretary to give me a new total.
I told her I didn't think this was a good solution, but she didn't have a response. I still ended up paying about $50 more than he estimated.
