This house is new to us. When we had the house inspected, it was found that the main line was being double tapped by the new central air system, and needed to be rewired. The electrician that did the work replaced the circuit box with a larger box, and moved the placement so he didn't have to work over a toilet. His work was supervised by the son of the woman who had sold the house to us, as at the time it was still in her name, and not ours. The wires attached to the breaker box are an absolute mess, but we could live with that. However, when we were having our internet installed a few days later, this time supervised by my husband, the internet company's electrician found that when the previous electrician had rewired the connection from the meter to the breaker box, he left roughly 8-10 feet of loose wire just sitting on the ground, uncovered and exposed to the elements and any animals that would happen by. There were also a few other wires coming from the meter that weren't loose, but still not covered by any protective material. And now, our lights flicker constantly throughout the day. My husband is having difficulty with contacting the company to fix the issue.
Description of Work: Installed new electrical service, new meter outside of house, new 150 amp panel with 30 circuits. Moved electric panel to the right so it wasn't over a toilet. Brought grounding up to code, added two outside ground rods, and grounded water and gas. All circuits now on their own breakers.
