Designer - Building
Don left me with a significant amount of work yet to be finished on my cabin build. He has almost all the money he requested, and now he has not responded to anything since the end of September. I would not pay him in advance for anything and I would not trust his word.

I signed a contract with Donald in May of 2024. The work required removing existing roof & trusses & replacing both. I gave him 2 checks totaling $30,000. He ordered materials for $6,400 which were delivered to my home in June. The materials sat uncovered all summer. He never returned to do the work. He never returned my text or phone calls. I had the Police contact him. He then said he would contact me. He never did. I requested in voicemail & text for him to return my money so I could hire another contractor. He did not comply. My roof is unsafe. I am 77 & on SS. I am going to have to take out a loan now to get the work done. He apparently lacks a conscience. I have filed criminal charges against Me. Alcus. He is not an honest man. Do not trust him! .

Don Alcus required full payment before starting roofing project. Over $30;000. Should have been a red flag! He took the money and ran! So now no roof and no money! The guy left the state. Beware of this scamming dishonest piece of crap!

Showed up when he said he would. Very nice guy. Got the jobs done in one day and made sure the work was done right! Went up and beyond what he was to do. I would recommend him to my friends and family. I will hire him again.
