I went in to get my home loan. I specifically said, my monthly payments must not exceed $600. which would include all costs, property taxes, association dues, etc. Everything. Well, my monthly payments have been over $700.00 every month. Also, she suggested that I get the $1000, good faith money back in cash & use it to make some upgrades to the townhouse. She said adding the $1000 to the downpayment wouldn't change the monthly loan payment. When all was said & done, she had add the $1000 to my down payment & I had no cash to make improvements to the townhouse. I later found out that Becky & my real estate agent were old friends who had gone on many vacations together. They basically ran over me and they both knew that I had never purchased a house before nor had I ever gotten a home loan before. I really feel that they took advantage of me & even though they explained things they turned around & completed the paperwork differently than what they said they were going to do.
