Someone at work who has lived in Iowa City for a long time recommended Skay to me because I was looking for a good, honest, fair mechanic after being overcharged by one of the chain mechanics when I was in college. I've been going there ever since. They have a pretty nice waiting area and I can get in and wait with my car and the oil change only takes a short time.

Check engine light was on. In spite of the car being 11 years old and lots of opportunity to sell extra services, provider fixed the issue by diagnosing a bad gas cap. Just charged $10.74 for the cap and $45.00 to diagnose. Pretty fair as far as I am concerned. I will be sure to use Skay again in the future.
