Menards

Menard's had Crestline French Patio doors on sale.  I asked the Millwork dept. employee to order the SAME EXACT Door as the display model.  the door he ordered was nothing like the display model.  the door that was delivered came with cheap click in grids,  the grids should have been molded into the glass.  Further, I told the Millwork dept. and the store Manager (Doug) about other concerns that I had with the overall quality of the product (see Crestline complaint for detials). The only response I got was for them to hand me a card with the Crestline number on it for me to take my complaints to.The store manager did offer to re-order just the doors so that i could get the molded grids as I wanted.  I explained that had the millwork dept written the order correctly I may have opted for a different product.  The Molded grill of course being much more expensive then the snap in grids. The manager continued to off this as the only option for resolution.  I explained that i had taken two months to get in the wrong doors so in another two months it would be January and he wanted me to change the doors out then?  further I explained that as a 55 y/o female I had already hired someone to install the wrong door so I asked if he would pay to have the correct doors installed when they arrived and of course that was not an option.  So he expected that I would pay an additional fee to have someone reinstall the doors and do so in the middle of a Midwest winter.  

this was the first project of a whole house remodel.  Needless to say Menards will not be involved with any further purchases I will require.
