They had a large crew and finished the job in a single day (about 12 hours). Their clean-up was very good and they protected our plants. Juan Martinez, Senior was on site for the final stages of the work as well.

Juan Martinez and his son Juan, Jr. assembled an efficient and competent team of hard workers who stripped the old roof, replaced four skylights, and installed new flashing in only one day, even though it was a fairly complicated job. They protected the roof surface using modern materials that meet or exceed industry standards, unlike the previous contractor who cut some corners and made some serious mistakes. Communication was good. Juan was on site all day to supervise the entire project and answer questions. They cleaned up and hauled everything away. I would hire them again!

They did a great job. They were very relaxed and up front about everything. Not only did he not try to upsell me, he talked me out of upgrading the underlayment. The work was completed while I was at work and by the time I came home, the cleanup was done and they were gone. I liked their approach and would highly recommend them!

We asked for bids from a couple companies, and received a written bid for the services less than 48 hours later. After comparing the quality of Martinez's work (from other reviews here and elsewhere), we decided to go with them.
They met with us (at our choice of time and location), brought many different samples of shingles for us to pick our favorite color/pattern, and when we didn't have a real strong opinion, advised us what 'most' people did, so as not to stick out unnecessarily.
This job was on a home that we weren't living in yet (the roof replacement was part of the remedy request at contract time, and we split the cost with the seller), and I had asked to be alerted when they scheduled a day with the seller to replace the roof itself, just to get a peek at it as it was going up. I didn't hear back on that, just got a picture of it from our Realtor when it was done.
The roof itself went up quickly, exactly as priced in the quote, and we've gotten compliments from folks who have visited how nice it looks. No damage to the home, no unexpected costs, great product. They were also comfortable with being paid at closing (some other companies required payment up front, which can be a pain and a bit of a risk, in case the deal falls through).
Highly recommended, and have already told a few friends to go get a quote from them, when needing roof work done.

I had 4 estimates and 2 involved the Certainteed oakmark pro shingles and one roofer recommended Owens-Corning Duration and the other recommended Malarkey impact resistant shingles. Consumer reports favored the Oakmark shingle over those brands in their testing. The warranties were similar on the Certainteed and Owens-corning shingles with use of higher quality sub-roof materials and installation required for a 50 year warranty. Martinez roofing is a preferred roofer eligible to offer 50 year material warranties for either Certainteed or Owens-Corning shingles. Martinez offered the best price and utilized the same standards of installation, 6 nails per shingle, replacing rubber vents, proper flashing, starter shingles and ice dam guards. Martinez was punctual with estimate the same day I called while other roofers i had to wait several weeks for an estimate. When I decided to select Martinez he came over the same day to have me sign an agreement and no payment was required until work was completed. Martinez indicated he could do the job in 2 weeks or no later than 3 weeks. He called me in 10 days and said he could start the next day at 7 Am. His crew showed up on time and completed the job in one day all done by 4:30 pm with good clean up. The Owner, Juan Martinez sr was up on the roof with crew to make sure proper install was followed. I checked on them frequently and was very satisfied with the job as it progressed and was completed. They installed a couple of extra vents at no extra charge and fixed a gutter for me. I was very satisfied with this roofer. Both Juan Martinez and his son Juan Martinez Jr came out to do the original estimate and both were there to supervise the crew during installation and act as a laison with any concerns I had. .They were very cordial and pleasant to work with from start to finish. The roof looks great !

We were very pleased with the workmanship and quality of the job. We left for work in the morning and when we came home, they were cleaning up. They are very thorough and did an excellant job cleaning up after the job. They were cautious around the plantings. Juan did everything that he said he would do in the estimate. A really great job at a very fair price. We would highly reccomend them to anyone needing roofing work.
