Lenton Vance Hardwood Floors

They've been good.  My husband put them down himself and he learned a lot; and he did it without using hammers and nails, and that was great.  It was wood on concrete.  I think they look nice and everything and I would have to give them an A for that, except they're very delicate and if you drop water on them it kind of damages the finish.  It's easy to be carrying a cup of coffee and things like that.  It's pretty significant in our case because we have kids running around and stuff and spilling stuff.  For price, I think they're just about where they should be.  We had a thicker kind of hard wood floor put in before that and they would cost about the same, and these are much, much thinner; and I would think well golly, they shouldn't cost the same because they're not gonna last as long, so I would say probably a B on that. They look nice, but you have to be so darn careful, plus they're not gonna last as long as the thicker.  These are probably about 1/8" thick and the other ones were closer to 1/2".  For professionalism, I'd say they're A because it's everything they said it would be.  They told us exactly how to lay it.  One thing they said, well this room will take two hours to lay a floor down; it took maybe seven or eight - a day and a half.  Maybe they thought we were more professional.  I would still give them an A though, just because we didn't know how to do it right.  Would we use them again?  Yeah, if we need to we probably would.  Maybe I'm hoping that they do make some changes though as far as ability to withstand different things, different liquids and things - the finish.

This was the best experience that I have ever had with a contractor. Patrick Vance scheduled my project for approximately 5-6 weeks after we originally met. He called weekly to check in, first to determine which type of floor and wood I wanted, then to update me on when the floor was ordered and the delivery date. He completed the job on time and on budget. When I called him, he returned my calls usually within the hour (and once called on a Saturday night because he was particularly busy). I thought the quality of work was outstanding and this has been confirmed by other contractors that have also worked on the house. I recommend him without reservation.

Patrick and his team did a wonderful job installing our hardwood floors (bought from Lumber Liquidators). We were on a tight time constraint, and Patrick was able to complete all of the work early. The cost even came in under all of the other installers we were looking at.
Patrick was also very responsive to our questions, which was great because we were orchestrating the install so that the floors would be ready before we moved in. We were able to complete this project smoothly from ~300 miles away!

They were amazing and I would highly recommend them. They worked really hard and were able to get stuff done in a timely fashion. The work that they did was very good, they were easy to work with and very personable.

These guys work hard. They gave me a new apprecaition for the workers. In order to do the job, they had to scrape out all of the under layment. When the carpet came up they noticed dampness and some mold from a crawlspace moisure issue we had. They had to take a shovel to push and get it all up. They were great and have done a really nice job.
