I arrived home so excited to put my furniture back in place and love my new carpet. I hated it! My only requirement was that it didn't accentuate footprints and vacuum lines but that was exactly what I got. I went back to the showroom where I learned that this carpet had silk in it which made it shimmer. I also learned that there was a customer satisfaction guarantee. We picked out a different carpet that would not show the footprints as this one did. After weeks of trying to get them to do something about this, they finally gave me a ridiculous price to remove and replace the carpet under the satisfaction guarantee. I had also told them about the squeaking floor and they promised to come fix it. It's been three months, they've never come back. Everyday, I walk on this carpet that is not what I wanted. Although, the people there are nice, their owner, who is not on site, completely controls all decisions but refuses to talk with customers. it is a very poor business model.

Beyond the puddles, the bubbles and the debris in the finish, the wood started curling up in one area. I have lived her 8 years and there was never a problem with wood warping. The floors had tough use before I moved in and had water spilt on them after I moved in. Never a problem. Just a week after Phillip's refinished them, the warping started. I told one rep about it, he wanted to send their wood expert out. The second rep came out. Two weeks later, he finally called me again wanting to send another rep out because he didn't have authority to give me a quote to fix the problem. I told him I was not going to leave work again as multiple Phillips reps had been in my home and that I needed an answer by Friday. Oh, I got an answer $1700 to repair the floor that they messed up and that I had just paid $2500 to them to refurbish. Apparently, they don't need anymore business. VERY POORLY RUN BUSINESS! The workers are polite and kind, but the decisions makers have no sense of customer service. They deserve to go out of business.

They did a good job.  The job went great.  I would recommend them for a flooring job.  I didn't even work directly with them.  They were the sub contractors that did the flooring in our house that we moved into.  The price was good.

Installed hickory flooring in July 2009.  The floor was beautiful, until the boards started to gap and separate at several points on the floor during the winter months.  Over the past few years, the gaps between floor boards has progressively gotten worse.  You can easily slide a quarter (sideways) into the gap, and in a few spots you can fit a quarter and dime, side-by-side, into the floor board gap.  We have geothermal heating and have always operated (with careful attention to proper functioning) a humidifier on the heating system.  Phillips has told us the humidity is too low.  It's true, when outdoor humidity rises in the summer, most (but never all) of the gaps between floor boards seal.  Beginning October, through to April, they are back.  They are embarrassing and don't disappear in fall/winter even if humidifier is cranked up to the point water is dripping off the windows. We have discussed the problem with several other floor installers and they all seem to politely say it's probably and installation problem.
We have had Phillips out to assess and address the problem several times over the years, most recently this past winter as the floor has gotten worse.  They are prompt and polite (except on one occasion), but they never do anything to correct the problem. We get one polite excuse after another from them.  They are a lot of talk and no action.  I strongly recommend you not be fooled by their politeness.  In the end you want installation of a product you can be proud of.  That has not been our experience and their after-the-job responsiveness has done nothing to resolve the problem.  Their answer to the problem is to fill the gaps with, what is basically wood-colored putty, which promptly dries out and is pushed out of the gaps as the boards reseal the following summer.  The gaps then reform in the winter, each year.
