The guys from Integra did a great job upgrading my electric service and wiring. I’d like to give a shoutout to all of them: Aidan, Luke, two Dustins, Tyler, and Osten. They explained everything to me each day and left the place cleaner than it had been before they worked on it. A big thanks to Luke and Tyler for helping us move shelves back into place, too. And a shoutout to Sabrina and Darla at the office for their “happiness checks!”

"Dear Patricia, Thank you so much for mentioning absolutely everyone! So many times the office staff or one tech or another get overlooked. But not on your watch! We really appreciate your shout out to us all. You were a pleasure to work for and with. It means so much to us to know our team is upholding our core values and doing things right."

I was charged $69 for a marketing pitch I did not want. They wanted an additional $200 on top of that to simply install a ceiling light (that was the minimum; I was also given a $16,000 option). Obviously, I found a reasonably priced service to do the actual install after I spent unnecessary time and money with Integra. Please learn from my expensive mistake and hire someone else from the start.
Response from Integra Electrical
"I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on our pricing. Your feedback is crucial to our continuous improvement, and I want to assure you that we take your concerns seriously. I understand that pricing is a significant factor in your decision-making process, and I apologize if our current pricing did not meet your expectations. We strive to provide fair and competitive pricing while maintaining the quality of our products/services."

A bathroom in my house did not have power to any of the switches in a bathroom. After exhausting all DIY efforts to fix the problem myself, I used Angie's List to find a contractor. Integra was recommended and the reviews seemed mostly positive. They were able to get someone out relatively quickly even though this was by no means an emergency. I believe the trip charge was going to be $69 and I was fine with that. Jon showed up and had issues determining the root cause. after roughly 1.5 hours he said he would have to start billing me for diagnosing the issue. At this point, things still seemed normal so I agreed. I assumed I'd have to pay someone else to come out and take a look if I didn't agree. After another 30 minutes or so, he determined the circuit was bad to the bathroom and needed replaced so he started writing up several estimates. Full disclosure: these estimates were shown to me on a tablet so I don't have exact amounts or what they all entailed so this is all based on my 49 year old memory from a month ago. Option 1: The cost of an extra 30 minutes of diagnosing brought the charge up to $309. Keep in mind, this did not include fixing anything. I'd guess he was my house for just over 2 hours. I could pay $309 and be done, but nothing would be fixed. Option 2: Run a new circuit. This would involve running a new wire through the ceiling of a finished basement. $1800. This includes the diagnostics. Option 3: Jon shared with me that my house built in 1989 was about to burn down because the 200 amp electrical panel was in bad shape. Cost to replace panel and run new circuit to bathroom: roughly $6800. Option 4: Same as option 3 but with a surge protector of some sort on the panel: Roughly $8600. Option 5: Same as option 4, but also replacing the drop to the house and the meter. If I remember correctly, this was $16,000 or so. I asked if I could take a day to discuss this with my wife and he said if I did that he'd have to charge me the $309 and the prices quoted would go up. I googled the cost of replacing an electrical panel and showed him a Home Advisor article that said "A homeowner should expect to pay between $750 and $2,000 to UPGRADE an existing unit to a 200-amp service, including professional install.Aug 14, 2020". His response was that electrical work was expensive. I found myself to be backed in a corner at this point because my house was supposedly going to burn down, I already owed $309, and I still needed someone to fix it. There were also continued mentions of the possibility my house would burn down. I agreed to option 2 . Another electrician was scheduled to come a day or two later. Kyle came on time and to be honest, he was great. Nice guy and seemed to do good work. My only issue was that he ran a circuit a much easier way that didn't involve going through a finished room. He was done in roughly two hours, but I was still charged $1800. After this work was completed, I thought it would be in my best interest to have another electrician inspect my panel and give me an estimate to replace it. Another large, well known company in the Des Moines Metro gave me an estimate to replace the panel for $975. I scheduled them to do the work and when came out and opened up the panel informed me there was no way this panel required replacement. I paid the guy for an hour of work to seal up the meter where some moisture could possibly leak in where the service comes into the house. That's all I paid for. To summarize...if you hire Integra....expect some high pressure sales that involve scare tactics. I will never use them again. I didn't rate them an "F" only because the electrician, Kyle, did good work. I should have never had to pay that much though.

It went well, they were thorough and answered all my questions. Both guys were very nice and knowledgeable. For the little bit I ended up having done I thought the pricing was a bit high of course nowadays, what isn't. Not sure I would hire again because they charge $69.00 service charge just to come out and it does not apply to work done, it's an additional fee

$2,600
We hired Integra to install an electrical box. We received a quote of $2600 and wrote a check for $1,500 and booked the install. The technician came out the day of the install, Dec. 1st, installed the box and I wrote the second check for the remaining $1,100 and that was that. Job complete right? The breaker kept switching off whenever I turned on the roof cables for which the electrical box was installed to power. We then had another tech come out and he replaced the switch with a new switch and so far, it seems to be operating correctly. I then received a voicemail from Integra on Dec. 21st with a message asking how the install went, any questions, let us know. Typical customer service follow up call I assumed. With the holidays ramping up, I figured I would call back after the holiday. Jan. 4th, I received another voicemail from Integra, same message, how was the install etc etc. Jan. 8th, my wife and I both receive letters/notices that a mechanic's lien has been placed on our house for non-payment. My wife checks the bank account and confirms that the second check we gave Integra has NOT been cashed. My wife calls Integra and speaks to someone that tells her the check was returned for NSF and that $2,600 is due. Not possible. The first $1,500 check was cashed. Integra says they will "check with the bookkeeper" and call my wife back. My wife contacts our bank and confirms that the second check for $1,100 was never cashed nor returned due to NSF. Integra calls my wife back, the first check that was cashed has now been applied and they can take the remaining balance due over the phone. She asked where is the second check is second check was given to the tech. Integra informs my wife, well he is out of the office this week, it will have to wait until Monday, Jan. 11th. Integra then asks if my wife would like to pay over the phone to settle the account. Really? We already wrote you a check and you want another? THE SECOND CHECK IS MISSING, WHY WOULD I PAY YOU AGAIN WHEN YOU CAN'T FIND THE SECOND CHECK?!?!?! Interesting side note: Second voicemail was received Jan. 4th, the mechanic's lien was filed Jan. 5th. Neither voicemails mentioned anything that needed to be resolved. Lien filed the NEXT day after the second phone call. I then call Integra and ask that this situation be corrected today, not Monday. I am informed that the tech is out and we can't do anything until Monday. I am told that the second check is not there and that they (Integra) tried to reach me twice regarding the missing second check. I replied, I did have 2 voicemails yes, but nothing in the messages was there any mention of missing payment/check. I am then informed by Integra, that they try to be discreet. Discreet? If I owe you money or a check is missing you should be more transparent. You could have even sent an invoice/letter. So the work was completed Dec. 1st, second check never turned in. 2 voicemails, which I still have and NO mention of an outstanding balance. No letter of notification and then a lien placed on my house. This is not how to do business and treat people. Jan. 11th Integra leaves voicemail, We found the check! Sorry about that, we will remove the lien against your house. That's it? Really Integra?! You put a lien against MY house for YOUR mistake! That lien will be there for up to 7 years and all we get is a sorry about that, our mistake. For a company that claims to be all about integrity and customer focused, you did a poor poor job correcting this situation. You can surely do better. A simple apology is not sufficient for the disruption to both of our workdays and us having to "play detective" on what went wrong!
Response from Integra Electrical
"Yes, we did misplace your check and are sincerely sorry. However, we don't believe that a partial refund, as you requested, is a fair solution. Please extend a little grace because we are human and do make mistakes now and then. Thank you. ~Jaime"

It took a while to figure out the problem. Turns out the high winds and torrential rain forced water into a covered outside outlet. He then quickly replaced it and all was good. I really appreciated him coming to my aid when there were problems everywhere in town

Everything about this company says Awesome. From the office person to the electricians my experience was A+. Very professional and personable. I felt the price for a dimmer switch was high, but all-in-all I am extremely satisfied.

I.am extremely pleased with the services received. Once I entered the order to Angie's list, I received a phone call within five seconds and the appointment scheduled for my convenience. I then received an email confirming it. I received another e mail reminding me of time and date. I then received a picture of Jason so that I knew who he was. I am totally impressed with this level of security. I must also point out the high degree of customer service received. From the young lady I worked with to schedule the appointment to Jason, I was met with respect and great customer service. I will definitely use this company for any future electrical problems.

I had an oppertunity to work with jason . He gave me upfront costs for everything i needed . He did not try to sell me anything and in-fact even helped me come up with more cost effective alternatives. My house had internet problems and he solved it. Another company had quoted me $2500 to fix the same and did not give me options. And this was something that mediacom could not solve. He showed up on time and did not charge me a penny over what was quoted. I would definitely refer a close friend or family to them . They truly stand to their name and hold up to high integrity and professionalism standards

Everything went as planned prior to Trevor coming out to our home to locate and reset a tripped GFI wall electrical receptacle. Trevor also performed and discussed with me the results of the Electrical & Home Fire Safety Inspection that he performed for us. We appreciate knowing about such matters and their costs ahead of the time that we need to take action so as to fit them into our household budget. He's another reason we frequently rely on Integra Electrical to keep our home safe and in great working order!

Lou quickly diagnosed the malfunctioning security light fixture's problem and offered me my options. I had a estimate of repairs to make my decision with as always. I chose to go with a new style LED model. Security is something you can't cut corners on in these times we live in and rural acreages are prime targets for thieves. We have a long and satisfying relationship with Integra Electric, can you say that about other electrical contractors you've used in the past? If you can't, put your minds at ease and give Integra Electrical an opportunity to earn your trust and get the protection that you and your home deserve. Kenny & Janet H. Indianola,IA

He had the rest of the light bulb out and checked the rest of the bulbs in the light fixture. He also put in my two plug ins in my hallway. So nice to have them in the hallway. Now I don't have to run a vacuum cord from the living room or a bedroom. I could even put a night light in the hallway if I wanted to. Did very good work and cleaned up the mess. Have hired him to do another job for me in October.

It went very well! Integra is a very professional company and the electrician I worked with, Ben, was top-notch. The review of my house to prepare the estimate was extensive and a fair amount of time taken to prepare it. The work followed the estimate exactly and was completed to specification, on time and on budget.

The house was built in the 1930s, and the electrical might not have been updated since the 1980s.  This was a big project, but went smoothly from start to finish.  Ben Carpenter would arrive on time every time, wear booties in the house (even though we told him it's ok not to), The project took multiple days over several months as he had to wait for drywallers and plumbers, but I found him flexible in scheduling.  He uses a fixed-price model that takes out all of the cost uncertainty.
The craftsmanship of his work was apparent from the wiring in the service box.  Every wire is neatly bundled, every breaker labelled.  He's careful in the work, and fully cleans up--even messes not of his own doing.  He even got along with our two dogs.
I'd  recommend Integra Electric with no reservations.

First, we asked for a written estimate so we'd know what to expect financially to make the needed upgrades to our new facility. Mr. Ben Carpenter came out and surveyed the new facility with us and we explained what features we would need to satisfy our planned usage of the building. He offered his suggestions as to how all of this work would take place and what type of features each component of the new system would provide.

Second, he used a trenching machine to cut a trench to bury the new cable service and after he installed the new electrical supply wiring he back filled the trench. He placed the new buried cable in such a manner as to not disturb existing shrubs and trees planted in the areas adjacent to the trench.

Thirdly, he installed and tested all of the other new components that comprise the entire new circuitry I/A/W local building codes.

Fourth, he gave us an itemized bill for all services provided after he did a thorough clean up of the entire construction area.

We are completely delighted with the way all elements of this project were accomplished and our property cared for by Ben.

We needed additional electrical outlets and a work bench light fixture added to our homes attached car garage. We solicited for electrical contractor bids locally in Indianola and decided to award the job to Integra Electric Solutions for their timely response to our bid request, professionalism, availability, and reasonable pricing. Mr. Carpenter and his apprentice arrived to do the job exactly when they said they would and had the entire job finished in just about three hours, very quick in our judgment. All the work was accomplished very professionally and the fit and finish of all the hardware used looks and performs just great. While he was here I asked Mr. Carpenter to take a look at another fluorescent lighting fixture in our machinery shop that had been malfunctioning for some time and he advised me what the best remedy was for the problem and he will be back later to make the repair when he obtains the special ballast component that the fixture is in need of. Both gentlemen were very respectful of our home as well, wearing shoe coverings to protect our flooring and they cleaned up the job site as well. In summary, a great experience for us and our home here at Toad Ridge Ranch and Hutcheson Seeding Services. You'd be remiss not to give them a chance to earn your business and your trust, they have ours!! K. and J. Hutcheson
