They were excellent. They had 6 guys out here one Saturday morning.  They took down an elm tree and hauled it away.  They was very minimal damage to the yard, very little tracking from the bob cat they used.

At first, it seemed to go well. On Friday, September 27 a man dropped a flyer off at our house to advertise the provider's services. We had a large tree in the front of our house that had a very large limb hanging directly in front, so we decided to request a quote. We were provided a written quote of $1,070.00 for cutting down the large limb in addition to trimming limbs and cutting down some trees in the back of our wooded lot. We accepted the offer.
On Saturday, September 28 a crew reported to our home as we were told they would. The crew immediately started working on the trees in the back yard. As the tree limbs were cut down the crew would then turn them in to mulch. Due to inclement weather, the crew had to cease work and told us they would return the following Monday to finish the job.
On Monday, September 30 the crew returned to our home to finish the job. That morning, the foreman called my husband and requested that payment be made in cash, not check or credit card. We thought this seemed strange, but the foreman explained that, for "bookkeeping purposes," it would be more efficient for payment to be in the form of cash. Around noon my husband pulled into the driveway to see the crew about to remove the very large limb in the front of our house. What my husband saw was the crew attempting to take down the limb; unfortunately, no one was standing between the limb and our house. The limb snapped back, breaking one of the windows in front of our house!
On the receipt we received the foreman wrote "Completed 10/1/13, pd in full cash. Window repair pending." That day, within a few minutes of the accident, my husband received an email from someone in the company who provided us with a PDF of the provider's certificate of liability insurance. We immediately called a known provider to report the incident and request an estimate to replace the broken window. Fortunately, we have double-paned windows, and our home was not exposed to the elements.
The estimate we received to replace the window amounted to $436.23. I emailed a copy of the estimate to the tree service provider.
About a week after providing the repair estimate I spoke with a representative from the service provider. The representative informed me that the foreman who provided us with the estimate had been let go due to performance problems, including allegedly providing higher estimates to customers, under reporting those estimates to the company, and then pocketing the difference. So, essentially we were quoted $1,070 for the work, the foreman reported to the company a quote of $1,000, and then pocketed the remaining $70.
I later received a call from the representative, who informed me he would be in the area the next week and wanted to confirm the dollar amount of the window repair quote. Now, I was on my mobile phone at the time and didn't have the written quote in front of me. We both thought that $427 seemed about right, but I explained that I didn't have the exact number in front of me. A day or so later the representative called me and told me that he had the money - $427 in cash - and wanted to know if dropping an envelope containing the funds was OK. I was a bit uncomfortable leaving that much cash in our mailbox, but agreed, knowing that my husband would be able to access the mailbox soon thereafter.
So, all in all we were shorted $9.23 for the window repair and $70 for the unscrupulous employee who allegedly mis-reported the estimate so he could pocket some quick cash- $79.23 total. While the service was performed, the fact that our front window was broken and the poor manner in which the repayment was handled left me feeling very displeased with this service provider.

I thought the price was a little high. I wanted to stay with someone local. They were professional, well spoken, courteous. I was impressed by them, I just thought the price was a little high.

Everything went very well.  Their crew was quite thorough, worked fast and hard (in 95 degree weather), and cleaned all the debris up very well (better than I anticipated, in fact).  They checked at every step of the job to see that their work was to my satisfaction.  They informed me of problems they discovered (one tree had been infested with ants!), and what the progression of the problem would likely be.  They also suggested some additional trimming that I had not originally asked for, and did it without additional charge to me.  Their crew was helpful, polite, and professional.  I am very pleased with the results.  My trees (and therefore my whole yard) look so much better now that the work has been done.

They were very responsive. I called them earlier today and they were able to come out to my home the same day. The price was very reasonable. They were great with the cleanup afterwards. They were very professional and friendly and great to work with. I would highly recommend Serenity to others.

Overall I think it went very smooth.  They came before I went to work and called me about an hour before they would be done so I could come back and inspect it before they left.  They were a fun crew that seemed like they could take on all sizes of projects.
