Hired to install windows and assist in remodeling two bathrooms by tearing out bathtubs and inserting new ones. After agreeing to have him do the work he requested money up front so he could order the windows. I gave him the money and he said the windows would be in within two weeks. Then, after MUCH delay, and many excuses for why he couldn't come as scheduled, the day he finally showed up to start work on the remodeling of bathrooms he disappeared and left his workers stranded here. His workers said he had a "family emergency" and they would be back the next day to finish the work. They never came back, never called, Matt Elsberry never answered his phone. I hired a lawyer to attempted to get my money back or my windows, but after being released from Jail, Matt Elsberry was no where to be found. I am now out the money and am stuck with rotting windows. DO NOT HIRE HIM! I am not alone in his recent scams!!

He talks a big game like he actually will just knock it out and you will be the happiest customer ever.  He actually didn't caulk on the top of my window trim and I had water leaking into my house.  he also installed a window inside-out.  He showed up to the jobsite drunk one night and wanted to climb on a ladder...which clearly was the end of it.  Matt is a conman and a complete loser.  I would never recommend using this person for any work.

Hired Matt to do some basic handyman work, concrete, exterior painting, interior paint, tile work and misc things. I will never hire him again. His attention to detail painting was awful. I had paint on my furniture and floor. I had to call him and point out all of the issues. He seemed insulted that I was not happy with his work. When I pointed out the trim work that was not even painted he acted like he did not care. I made the major mistake of paying him with half the work done because he seemed like a nice guy and trustworthy. I had to call, e-mail and finally threaten him with legal action just to get him to call me back. He tiled over linoleum with the wrong material. After spending a week trying to get him back to my house he never showed. I decided that I did not want him back in my house. He was very rude when I asked for money back for poor service. If I thought of taking him to small claims I was so upset with his work. After two weeks I pulled up the tile and found the base mortar or whatever it is called still we. I was told by the tile guy I had to hire that you must pull linoleum up you cannot tile over it. Matt Elsberry is a dishonest man and not a quality worker.  I hate to say this but he needs to go out of business. DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!!!!!

The quality of the work was good.  Our issue was this: prior to contacting this company we had MidAmerican come due an energy audit.  After they come through and tell you how you can conserve energy, they offer rebates on things you can do to help.  This company was listed as a company that was familiar with working with the rebate process.  They came and gave us estimate... including what we would save after the MidAmerican rebate.  After doing the work, we paid them, and they assured us that they would send all the info into MidAmerican.  They didn't.  We contacted them, and they said they would again... they didn't.  After a while, they stopped answering our phone calls and ultimately, they never followed through.  We had to contact MidAmerican, explain the problem, and then got a partial rebate, due to this companies lack of follow through.

Matt added more insulation to our attic. He added more than the recommended amount. We were extremely happy with the price; he was several hundred dollars cheaper than the other estimate we got. He was right on time for the estimate. He was 15 min. late for the installation but he called in advance to let me know that he would be a little late due to an emergency roof repair. It took them a little over an hour to setup, do the work, and clean-up.

The story above was in regards to the second set of windows we wanted Matt to install. The first round of ten windows was actually a positive experience. I hired Matt a second time because of the first experience. Much to my dismay, I've had him not show up twice on this second order. I actually had both days off and the first time he had the wrong date. That was fine because we scheduled a second date when I was going to be home. The second date scheduled, I was waiting for Matt, I had called at 8:00 am and asked when they planned on coming.... his response was he would call me back in a couple of hours. Never heard from him and never saw him. So... that is our story. In fact, we STILL haven't heard from him. ($2,300)

Matt was very prompt and straightforward when conducting the consultation. His price was extremely fair and I did not have to waste my time listening to a full sales pitch like a previous seller. It was very easy and quick to schedule the window replacements and it took only one day of work to complete the task. They were also very mindful of my pets. One drawback left of bit of a mess next to each window, but all the other pros outweighed this con.
