Superior Siding & Window Systems

We had them do siding for us about 2 years ago. The installation was decent, not great. We went with one of the higher end sidings and the quality of the material is good. The real problem has been the after installation support. Pretty much none existent. It took a couple calls to get them to finish some of the painting that needed to be done. But the gutters have been a major issue. They were not attached to the house properly. The water is coming down between the gutter and the house. I called several times and left voicemails, but never got any response. I fixed the worst of the problem myself as they were a black hole for getting back to me. Now a 2 years later the gutters are getting worse. I had them show up at my house as they were doing a job down the street and I informed them of the issue. They said they'd fix it. A month or two later, and several texts, they said it was going to cost me a few hundred to fix it. I disagreed and they agreed to fix it and they'd be here 2 weeks ago. Haven't heard a thing. I'd recommend going somewhere else if you think you might need post installation support from them. It doesn't happen. It's too bad, as I think the overall look is good and had considered having them do windows for me. I'll be looking elsewhere.

RE: Testimonial for Superior Siding & Window System

There are not enough words that I can write to thank you and your crews (roofer, sider, painter and everyone else) for the amazing, fantastic, remarkable, wonderful, incredible and marvelous job that you did on my home improvement project.

Please feel free to share this testimonial with potential customers as I hope they will find it helpful as they go through the process of determining who to trust with their home improvement project.  Due to my lack of knowledge about siding, roof and windows I contacted three other companies besides Jim?s company.  Jim was not the 1st company that I called and found with the other companies that you either talked to receptionist type person or would leave a voice mail message.  When I called Jim I was pleasantly surprised to be able to talk the owner on my initial call.  Jim was very pleasant and knowledgeable and asked if he could come to my home at my convenience to visit about what my home improvements needs consisted of and to show and explain to me his products (siding has a double lifetime transferable warranty & hail resistant warranty).  I appreciated that Jim showed up right on time and took the time to visit with me to get to know me (useless tidbit? we both graduated from high school the same year).  He then walked around the house with me to identify what I had concerns about and what I really wanted before he showed and explained his products.  As we walked around Jim had great ideas about little touches to really dress up the appearance of the house and add curb appeal.  Jim is not a high pressure salesman; he did a wonderful job of explaining the differences in their products, workmanship and service after the sale.  He brought along samples of vinyl siding colors and shingles.  He also had a binder that showed pictures of the many houses he has done and he left me a list references. I had a couple of color choices in mind for shingles and siding and he even provide me with address so that I could drive by and see the product in large scale on a finished house which really helped me make my final color choices.  After Jim left if I had questions I felt comfortable in calling him and he would answer on my initial call or if I left a voicemail he would promptly return my call.

During the formal bid/quote process I told Jim right up front that I had a limited budget for a very healthy wish list.  I asked that he write up separate bids/quotes for  (1) shingles and flat roof on house; (2) vinyl siding on house and (3) turning the un-used 3 season porch into a storage (closets and shelves) porch, which he gladly did so that I could determine if I could fulfil my entire wish list or just parts of it.  Jim?s bid/quote was the most competitive among the other 3 companies that I received bid/quote from.  Jim won my business (entire wish list) with his professionalism, character, great products, competitive bids/quotes and the references and letters/testimonials played a part.

Once the project got started as Jim had promised they would work exclusively on my house until it was done.  As promised each crew did a great job of picking up the trash and debris each day.  Each crew was professional and courteous.  If I ever had a question or concern they would answer and address it immediately.  I want to give a big shout out to the siding crew.  They do an amazing job and the custom millwork fascia on the gables, windows and doors is so gorgeous and really makes a statement.  Jim was excellent at scheduling the crews so that there were no hold ups or slow down moving from roofing to windows & siding to the build out of custom storage in the 3 season porch.  Some of the crews even worked on a Saturday.  I could literally write pages of compliments about Jim and his crew and how far out of their way they went to take care of me.  For example, I originally said that I wanted white edge pieces on the 4 corners of the house, but after the siding crew had finished 2 of the corners I did not like the white and asked to have them change them to the color of the siding (Pebble Clay).  The crew said that was quick fix and would change out the colors the next day.  Another example, my garage was not in scope at time of the original bid/quote but after seeing how gorgeous the house was looking only being ½ done I asked Jim for a bid/quote to put new shingles and paint the garage.  The garage gutters were older and did not look the best but I did not want to spend the money to replace them so I was just going to paint them.  Jim then insisted on putting on new gutters at no additional cost to me.  Again, he gave a competitive bid/quote and said that he would work it in while they were here instead of putting it at the bottom of his list of other customer?s projects that are waiting to be done.  This is the ultimate of going above and beyond customer satisfaction.

Jim and his crews don?t believe in cutting corners or covering up rotted wood.  I had several places along the roof and one of 2nd floor window casing had severely rotted wood.  The crew replaced all the rotted wood which reassured me that I would not have to worry about the window falling out which is an example of the company?s workmanship which is they believe in fixing the problem instead of covering it up.  Another example of fixing a problem? there was a hole in the concrete block foundation on the 3 season porch.  I asked Jim if he could recommend someone to fix it (at my expense).  Jim immediately took a look at it and said that he had a guy that he would send to fix it at no charge to me.  Within the next couple of days the hole was patched up with concrete.  Talk about going above and beyond with outstanding customer service. 

As the work was progressing I had neighbors stop by giving me numerous complements on how beautiful the house was looking.  Now that the entire house and garage are completed; whenever I am out in the yard I have people just driving by and/or walking their dogs stop and tell me how beautiful my house is.  My neighbors are a little jealous and are telling me I have the most gorgeous house on the block and I am making them look bad. 

Again, I want to thank you and your crews for transforming my house into a show piece.

This project was for a house that I purchased as a foreclosure to flip, so I was looking for the cheapest siding that would still look nice.  Kyle Kinning was my contact and did my estimate. The price he gave was extremely competitive and he even included some nice design touches like decorative faux attic vents and painted "keystones" at the fascia peaks.  The crew that did the work was very friendly and asked questions when a decision had to be made according to my preference.  One of the old windows apparently shattered before it was completely inside the dumpster because I noticed pieces of glass in the lawn the day after job completion.  I called Kyle and he sent someone over to clean up the glass within 24 hours.  The crew also dropped LOTS of nails all around the house (outside) and in the gutters.  I was a little disappointed that they must not have a magnetic sweeper to clean those things up, but I used mine. Not too big of a deal since I already own one - but I don't think homeowners should have to worry about picking up sharp objects from the job.  I would recommend them and hire them again, but I would recommend that they purchase a $40 magnetic sweeper and have the crew guy who just hangs out on the ground push it around the house a few times during the project.

My crew was spectacular! We had to wait a while for our job to get started, but it was so worth the wait! Our house looks like a brand new house! Our siding was in ROUGH shape and consequently we had some extensive rotting wood underneath it. I was worried that the extra work would mean extra cost, but we paid exactly what was quoted. The crew was extremely respectful that their worksite was our home and even tried to do work around the baby's room when she wasn't sleeping! Every night they tidied up the yard and shut the gates. We've already noticed how much quieter and less drafty the house is and all of the little touches on the trim work make the house look custom...but the price just couldn't be beaten! I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone needing siding/windows.

They also installed a new roof and siding in 2010. They did really well. Everything went very smoothly. I didn't really have to really do anything other than hire them. They do good work. They have a good friendly staff. They're a trustworthy company. They get done quickly.

It took a little while to get going, and when they did start they only had a 2 or 3 man crew working. They did the inside work first; they decided to tear out all drywall in one bedroom because it had wallpaper on it, and it was heavily damaged (my son's room). They added no extra cost for completely replacing drywall, as opposed to repairing it.
The crew's timing was a little spotty; at one point they did not show up for an entire week (apparently an illness in the foreman's family). Eventually another crew came in and wrapped up the outdoor work. Jim Kinning (owner) showed up frequently throughout the process to check things out.
A couple of weeks after they completed, a piece of siding fell off the back of the house. I e-mailed Mr. Kinning and within a week he had someone out there to repair.
Overall, it took longer than we thought, but the quality and price were really outstanding.

Jim came out as soon as we called for an estimate. We had some companies that never showed up for their appointment. Jim did a thorough job of explaining what the job would entail, showed us samples of the siding he recommended, and gave us an extensive list of references. Once we decided to go with Superior Siding and Windows, the crew came out on schedule and completed the job in 10 days, just as promised. We were pleased that the crew cleaned up after themselves each night, and did not damage any or our flowers or bushes that were near the house. We had a few spots on the house where we wanted a different style of siding and Jim was cooperative and pleasant in meeting our requests. They were even able to build a new overhang over our patio door.
Overall we were happy with the company and how they did the work on our house. We have received many compliments on how good the house looks and also on the quality of the work. We would definitely recommend Superior Siding and Windows to anyone who is interested in getting a quality siding job done on their house.

They were very thorough and they were here on time. They picked up after themselves, they were very neat and clean. There weren't any problems whatsoever and they came back in a reasonable amount of time to fix anything, so they did come back. They were about the same as everybody else were as far as pricing went. The crew was here every day on time and they were very nice.
