We had Speck poor our 24x30 garage slab and part of our driveway. The crew on the job was excellent. Always asking if we were happy with the progress so far. We added a few things on them last minute and they never seemed irritated or annoyed in the least. (Even though it was 100 degrees out) My husband was always in contact with Jeremy, and he was always quick to return phone calls if he didn't answer. My husband said he is a stand up guy! The crew was always on time and professional and cleaned up the area everyday before they left.  I would highly recommend this company to anybody! You might pay a little bit more but its completely worth it because you know you are getting people that know what they are doing and care about the finished product. I will definitely be using Speck in the future.

Everyone we dealt with at Speck was professional, responsive and caring. Their work is excellent and their workers take extreme pride in the products and services they provide! Both the patio and countertops are extremely well-constructed!

They were slightly more expensive than other bids but I was more comfortable selecting them.I was very impressed with the "extras" they provided such as removing, moving and replacing a basketball hoop (moved due to driveway expansion) and burying a drainage tile from downspouts (under concrete.)

Sales person did an excellent job with bidding. Service was performed punctually. However after a few weeks it was clear that the asphalt seal coat was not sticking to the surface. Sales person suggested we wait until Spring 2012 to reassess. At that time the seal coat was chipping off, peeling, and was even nonexistent in large areas. Vegetation was growing through the cracks. The sales person was unwilling to provide me with information on how they would correct these problems although right from the start he agreed to redo it at no further cost to me.
Over the summer he repeatedly refused to answer my requests for further information, and even ignored letters sent by the attorney I had to use to get the company's attention. Finally, the attorney was able to contact the CEO, who did respond by late summer.
The CEO and chief engineer inspected the driveway September 2012 and determined the fault was theirs; they had not properly cleaned the driveway prior to resealing. They have kindly offered to redo the driveway at no cost, and were willing to wait until more ideal conditions next spring.

I am hopeful that they will honor their offer. I give this company a "D" simply because of the hassle factor when things went bad. This should not have required an attorney to get their attention. The sales person was an excellent sales person but a horrendous problem solver and thus a horrible representative for their company.

Great experience with a very professional company! We are very pleased with the concrete work Speck USA completed at our home. All of the work was done in one day and other than new concrete, you would never know they were there!! They did an excellent clean up job! The crew was very professional and explained everything they were doing in detail to make sure everything turned out as we expected. We were very impressed with how prompt, courteous and professional they were. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and we would recommend this company.

This was a bad experience from the beginning. I had my utility room resurfaced with epoxy. First the owner showed up on time for an estimate but stood outside my home talking to a vender on his cell phone for 20 minutes before coming to the door. I had taken off from work to meet him and my time was limited. Then an estimate was sent promptly and I asked when he could do it. Response was three weeks. After a month I contacted him again and he apologized and said his scheduler quit. Then they finally did come but were hours late and the job was of poor quality. When the owner came to look at it his words were "this is disappointing". Yes it was disappointing because they had to redo it and I had to take another few days off work. When they came to redo it naturally they were late again. Very unprofessional. The grade would have been an F but they workers were friendly and the second time they did it I liked it.

I've never seen it not happen - contract a repair or upgrade job and during the preparation stage of removing the old stuff, unknown problems crop up that require a change in what needs to be done to accomplish the repair or upgrade. Sure enough, additional old concrete had to be removed to get the job done right. SPECK showed me the problem immediately when they found it and their solution was more than fair to my pocketbook and satisfaction. VERY GOOD working with this company as contractors and as well as WONDERFUL work crew on site. Love these people.

It went VERY well, start to finish. They arrived on time and finished when they said they would. They also did an excellent job cleaning up the site. Except for the new concrete, you couldn't tell they were there. The final price was exactly as quoted.

Everyone I worked with from Speck was courteous and professional. There are a LOT of people out there doing concrete work. It's my opinion that these folks REALLY know what they're doing. I would use Speck again and highly recommend them.

I need to say up front that we weren't in a hurry to have this work completed and Speck knew that. They got us the estimate in a timely fashion and when we finally faxed it back, we did have to follow up to confirm they'd received it. Due to confusion on what they were replacing and the weather, the job had to be scheduled a couple of times. TJ was always great about calling and letting us know what was going on, though. They were able to saw out the cracks and do the repair job in a couple of hours. The job was reasonably priced and well done. I would use Speck again and recommend them to others.

We needed someone to replace part of a long concrete driveway. A representative came to the home and took the time to discuss in detail, exactly what we needed. They listened to our needs, made great suggestions and came up with a bid for the project. The bid was reasonable, the work was done on-time and on budget. The representatives were in contact with us all along the way, making sure everything was going well. The finished product was beyond our expectations.

They were very professional and timely. They were there when they said there were going to be there and the process went exactly as it was described to me before they began work. I only marked them down one point because they started applying the wrong stamp to our walkway, but that was fixed with a phone call. I would readily work with them again.

I found this company on Angie's List. They did high quality work. They fixed the problem I called them out for, which I was happy with. The bids for the job were all over the place, but they said they would do repair work. They were very good. They did everything they said they were going to do in a timely manner. I was happy with them.

Speck staff were helpful in providing suggestions for improving the project, very respectful of our property, cleaned up the work site each evening, and when the project was complete it was hard to believe that only 2 days earlier we had 20 trucks digging and pouring on the property. They took great pride in their work and were very responsive to homeowner questions and suggestions. I consider the crew that worked on my project craftsmen, with a focus on quality and innovation. I believe I received great value for the cost that I incurred.

Bid was competitive as to price, timing and scope details. Speck handled the necessary permitting and inspection arrangements with the city as well as arranged for One Call to mark all utilities before work commenced. No gimmicks, no nonsense. Very knowledgeable and responsive personnel. Came highly recommended and I concur based upon my experience. Arrived on time with full crew and commercial equipment; skid steer, dump truck etc. Had driveway removed and hauled away by noon; prepared new crushed rock base and re-poured by 2pm and approach completed by 5pm same day. They had to re-work and raise sewer manhole enclosure in my drive; they promptly analyzed the situation and solved the issue with no drama or extra cost Very meticulous about their work; minimal sod damage adjacent to the driveway; unavoidable due to forms used. As an example of their attention to detail; they used paint putty knife to scrape away minor concrete splatter from an adjacent sidewalk. Returned the following day to saw cut the expansion joints. In summary, competitive price (of 3 bids taken), did exactly what they said they would do in a timely, professional manner. Upon payment, completed a lien waiver per my request. This is professional concrete and parking lot maintenance firm; not "two guys in a pickup ordering concrete". Would not hesitate to recommend them but as with all such services, seek several bids; the spread in prices and services will make you glad you did. One bidder asked for 50% of price "up-front"; I automatically disqualified them. No such monkey-business with Speck USA. One recommendation to anyone having similar concrete work performed. Ask about the concrete cure time for the materials quoted. I was naive and learned that the "standard" residential concrete typically quoted has a 7 day cure time; meaning no use of your drive for that period of time. For a small charge, I highly recommend using 24hr cure concrete specification unless you have alternative places to park your vehicles. None of my bidders volunteered this information re: cure times, so ask before accepting your concrete bid.

They do both residental and commercial. They do black top and concrete, they were dead on with their estimate, they were very professional, and they worked very quickly and promptly.
