Cold, cold day. Jeep Commander wouldn't start and couldn't get it jumped. O'Briens got me right in. They were very friendly and up-front about cost. Issue was a bad battery and a bad wire running to the starter. Danny also recommended replacing the spark plugs, but let me know it was a choice, not a need. I know some have complained about the amount of services that are always recommended, but that should be standard in my opinion. Let the customer decide. I'll be returning.

They knew what needed to be done.  We had done research and learned that
the Ford F150's have a design flaw with regards to their spark plugs.  A
special tool is needed to remove them and they went and purchased the
tool.  When the spark plug replacement took longer they called first to let me know that it would cost more.  Overall price was reasonable considering all that was done and the dealer quoted a much higher price. 
We have lived in the Beaverdale area for twenty years and have taken our vehicles this shop since we moved here.  It was Cornelius Auto before Danny took over and we have never been disappointed by the service.

They used to do good work and then they got a new mechanic, and I just don't trust them anymore.  My transmission went out and they told me it was going need a complete overhaul and cost $800.  I took it to another service and they said I only needed to replace one part for $200.  They're just not the same anymore...they do good work but I feel it's overpriced and I just don't trust them anymore.

I was looking for some regular maintenance work done on my Honda and O'Brien's was recommended to me by a friend.  They quoted me excellent prices compared to what the dealers usually want for scheduled service.  I was very happy with the professionalism, personability of the staff and the quality of the work when my Honda was done.  I would definitely pass the recommendation for O'Brien's on to others!!  Happy to be able to tell people.

I've been to the O'Brien Service repair shop 3 times and have received very good service from them. As you know, it is difficult to find a service shop that is honest and won't rip you off and I feel I have found that shop in O'Brien Service.

Super nice people!  They looked the car over, found the issue(s), gave me an estimate and I approved the work.  It was done on time and they even followed up a couple days later to make sure everything was going ok.  Fantastic customer service!    I rated price a "B" just because it was a lot of money, so I couldn't say an A - it's not their fault the car had issues though.  I would have given quality an A except I do not have the car anymore, so I cannot say for sure, but I'm pretty confident the work will hold up.  So, almost all A's!

It is a neighborhood place and I try to shop in the neighborhood. I went in and talked to them before I had the work done to get an estimate. They were friendly and they seemed to be professional. The quality of the work seems to be good. They were a little high.

I brought my car to O'Briens because I thought there was something seriously wrong with the front end. It was shaking and pulling so bad I thought a tire would fall off. The owner and the staff were the best. They immediately took my car in and checked it out while I waited. The steel belt had shifted in one of the front tires. I got 4 new tires and my car rides like a dream again. I can't say enough nice things about Danny and his mechanics - they were truly accomodating, friendly and went out of their way to please me. They earned my loyalty as a customer in just one visit.

I haven't had a great experience with auto places (beyond oil changes) in the last few years, so I was really happy with being able to find someone that I'll be able to consistently use going forward. When I called and explained the situation, Danny told me to come on in and after looking my vehicle over, I received a reasonable estimate. We went over some of the "why" things needed to be done. I learned more about the breaking system on a car in five minutes that I had ever before. These guys know their stuff and based on my experience I felt like I could trust these guys. There is an openness and any questions I had were answered straight away. I think Randy did majority of the work on my car. I was able to wait in the lobby and get some work done (thanks to the free wi-fi). These guys do test drive their work too. You can come along if you want. Bottom line: My experience was really solid, he staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the end result is that my vehicle is back to where it should be and beyond.

I trust Danny to do a great job for a fair price. I have been using his shop for repairs and service for almost three years. Danny always gets me in and out quickly. I usually call ahead to make sure he has time to do my oil change. He's very personable. They make sure to do a good job. When he does repairs he takes the time to look things over and make sure they are right. Once he was supplied with some damaged parts for my truck. He caught it right away. it took him several extra hours to rectify the problem but he took the time to do it right, and he didn't try to raise the price to make up for the extra shop time.

Danny and his mechanics did a great job. A few days later noticed that my windshield washer line wasn't working. Took the car back and they fixed it. It was so cold in DesMoines the line had frozen. They fixed it and brought my car to me so I did not have to find a ride. And it was fixed for free. Will always take my car to O'briens.

Great job. Fair and reasonable. Owner does a great job with customer service.

Dropped it off in the morning and it was ready to go when they said it would be. Staff was efficient and friendly.

I was a little surprised by the cost, but in the end everything worked okay on my car so it wasn't such a big deal. They got the car in and out of the shop quickly. It is a tiny waiting room, but it is nice because you can see into the shop and know where your car is at in line. I have never seen the mechanics just standing around chatting or doing something else--they were constantly working while I was there. They had to find a new battery and they were able to get the part I needed there to the shop to resolve the issue within an hour or so, which I appreciated because I had a lot of things to do that day. They move a lot of business through there, so they had to squeeze me in. But it still seemed like everything went all right in spite of it. They were friendly and pleasant to deal with. They gave me a discount for being a new customer as well.

I have used there services for about 3-4 years. They are good about getting the car in a few days. They are always done the same day. They are very personable. They tell you what needs to be done and what cane wait. They are honest.
