MIDAS AUTO SERVICE EXPERTS

Went very well. I like the fact that they check alot of things on my vehicle for wear and tear and tell me what needs replaced soon or down the road.

After Midas changed the oil, we immediately noticed significant problems with the engine and ended up having to have it replaced. Midas led us to believe their insurance might cover at least some of this problem, but did not get an answer to us for over 6 weeks. Their final answer was that they were not at fault in any way even though the problems began immediately after the oil change and the cause as determined by another auto mechanic was overfilling the oil.

I called ahead to see when they had time to look at my vehicle. They are very flexible and prompt, but it helps to have an appointment. They pulled my car in right away, checked it out and I was good to go in just a few quick minutes. My son and I were able to wait for my car to be finished.

We weren’t very happy with them because they talked us into things that we did not need. We did not go back to them because of this. We spent at least $1,000 for that work. There wasn’t any problem with the work, but we thought that the price was expensive. We would not use them again or recommend them.

Took the car in and was able to wait in waiting area (clean, current magazines available, TV, coffee) while work was completed. Windows available to look into the work area. Had expected to have to leave the vehicle and be without a car all day. That was not the case. I went in early in the morning on a weekday. Probably later in the day, or on a weekend, they would have been busier and would have taken longer to get the car in. I found the work on my vehicle took under 2 hrs. Received an estimate in writing before anything was done, was shown what and why the work was needed. Personally I know very little about this type of repair but by time I signed for the work to be done, I felt more educated about what I was paying for - did not feel like I was being talked down to and my questions were answered. Was informed that there were less expensive options available and what the consequences would be if I didn't choose those (machining the rotors instead of replacing them). They test drove the car before and after the repair. Received a complete report of what had been done, the itemized costs, information on warranty and phone numbers to call if I had any questions.
