The installation of the tile was excellent. We've had a bit of trouble getting them to communication about doing a piece of repair with regards to the screen that we had installed, so they never did call us back on that. The communication was a little bit difficult. They have a problem with getting back when you call them. I think some of it is because they are overworked because they do not use a computer system. The worker came on time.

I had shopped around and decided to go with Louie's floor covering because of their longevity in the business and  I thought I would get excellent service.  They said they would call with a reminder before the initial start date.  They did not.  They said to expect the person to show up between 9 - 9:30 AM to start; they did not show up until after 10 AM. The carpet installers presumed they knew the traffic pattern in my house - like which entry door I used most - and laid the carpet accordingly.  They did not even ask.  They had to come back three times before the vinyl tile was installed along the edges to my satisfaction.  Come on - they are professionals and should never have left the job as they initially did.  And when I said it was not acceptable, they said there wasn't much they could do.  A carpet remant went missing when the vinyl installers came back the second time and they denied taking it.  They said they would adjust the charge for moving the furniture if there wasn't much in the room - one room had a table and another only a bed yet they did not reduce the bill.  My installation was on concrete floors and that was one of the reasons I choose Louie's (I presumed more experience). I made them aware at the very start they would be working on concrete.   My sales person did not return calls promptly and did not follow up on getting the vinyl work corrected in a timely manner.  I was very disappointed and it is very unlikely that I will ever do business with them again.  You can also be sure I will let family, friends and co-workers know about my experience.tly

Overall the installation is fine.  Would have appreciated it if the installers would have discussed where seams would be prior to just installing them so the homeowners may have had an opportunity to discuss alternative options based on prior installation experiences. 

Salesperson rescheduled tile install 4 times.  The original tile picked out for the bathroom was not written down or ordered by salesperson and I came home for lunch to find the entryway tile was also being installed in the bathroom not the tile we had picked out.  Installer had to pull up what he had already installed. Salesperson said I would have to come back down to store to pick out the tile I had originally picked out because they had no record.  Carpet install was rescheduled 2 times.  Salesperson took at least 2 days to return my calls and i could not reach him directly during the day because when I called he was usually "out of the store".  The company that was contracted for the water in the basement job called to find out why the project was delayed because it was delaying thier ability to finish thier part of the job.  I explained the situtation to them and they ended up having to call Louies.  Salesperson did not discuss any options for tile layout - just had installer come out and lay the tile.

I contacted Louie's and brought home some samples of tile and carpet. They came out a measured the area and I chose the tile and carpet. I did wait to hear back from them and it took a while but once I heard back from them they were here on time and got the work done in a timely fashion.
