LESTER'S CONTRACTING

After calling to get a quote, one of their employees (I later come to find out he's the previous owner of the company) calls me and says he's in my yard (I was not at home at the time) and that they will clean the gutters for $200. I said that was fine. 10 minutes later, Frank calls back and tries to strike a side deal with he and his son to assess and repair possible siding issues on my home and tries to get me to commit to $185 to evaluate the installation of my siding based on the fact we were getting water in the house. I agreed to that and he asked me not to tell the folks at Lester's about our deal as he would get in trouble. My red flag was 1/2 way up at this point... Then he calls me back 20 minutes after that and says the crews are on the roof and they don't even think it's worth cleaning the gutters..."might as well just install new ones... I'll quote that out right now". I said ENOUGH leave my home! I believe Frank is a schiester and not sure what to believe about his employer. I went ahead and paid the $200 based on the word from the company owner that the work was performed on my home by their crews, and that Frank had been "dealt with" regading his attempting to make deals on the side with customer's. Use at your own peril.
