The ceiling in my living and dining area was 'pillowing' and we didn't know exactly why. I consulted with many contractors and Jerry was the first one that took the time to figure out why - we cut a small hole in the ceiling and found the drywall to be undersized and not up to modern code, therefore, it was 'drooping' from the weight of the blown insulation above. We discussed a few different options to resolve it and he was the first one to come up with the idea to instead of removing and replacing the entire ceiling, thereby having to deal with the insulation removal and replacement, to cut the pillowed panels down the middle so they would have room to compress while putting up a new ceiling right over the old one. The end result is the ceiling is flawless and at 1/4 the cost of a tear-down and replacement and it's impossible to notice there's an old ceiling behind the new one.
Jerry was always professional, punctual, conscientious and he works like a sled dog to get the job done quickly. He hung a 950 square foot ceiling and did an entire bedroom, complete with texture, in 3 days. Drywall is a messy job and I'm not going to say the house was as clean as when he arrived, but he sealed every doorway and covered all the floors to control the dust as best as possible. He even said the job comes with a 100-year guarantee...now watch it fail on 100 years and 1 day :)
I'm not sure one could ask for a better man to put on the job.

Jerry was awesome! We needed drywall hung in our lower level bedroom. We called many drywall companies to come and give an estimate. Many did not call back! Two came out to give an estimate and out of those two, one did not respond with a bid and the others bid was extremely high. I'm not sure why it is so hard to find a good contractor but after searching Angies List I called Jerry. Very nice man! He not only gave me a bid on the drywall but completed the room within 2 days of me calling him. He knew we were having trouble finding someone to drywall the room which put us behind schedule so he fit us in and got the room done. Great work, on time, respectful, cleaned up after himself and the price was very reasonable. I will ALWAYS call Jerry for any drywall needs from here on out.

Jerry repaired the drywall in an entire condo, which took about 3 days. He is the best!

I had 1 bedroom and 2 bathrooms that needed texturing re-done. The first company I hired did a horrendous job even after 3-4 tries. Jerry came, took a look and agreed it did not look the way it should and was confident he could do a better job. He was honest, understanding, reasonably priced and did a great job. The first round of texture did not turn out quite right (mostly due to the previous companies mishaps). He came out right way to look again and fixed it. Looks great. I had the bathrooms faux painted vs retextured in hindsight I should have had him retexture the bathrooms those too.

We made the mistake of hiring a contractor off of Craigslist to remove our old tile back splash and repair the drywall afterwards in our kitchen. The contractor was not professional at all and did more damage than good. Even broke our fridge and left us with a disaster of a mess. When I tried to call him to give him a chance to make it right he hung up on me.

Jerry showed up to give us an estimate at exactly the time he said he would. He was able (in this case) to start the work the next morning. He again showed up exactly when he said he would. While he worked it was obvious he was a professional. His workmanship and attention to detail was awesome. Even though the wall was to be prepared for tile we could have easily just painted the beautiful surface Jerry left us with. On top of the excellent work, Jerry made sure everything was protected before starting work and everything was cleaned better than he found it upon completing the work. Then to top it off.. he charge us a little less than originally quoted as the project turned out to be a little easier than he expected (who does that?).
My wife and I are thrilled with our new kitchen and it would not have been possible if Jerry hadn't saved the day for us! Thank you so much!
PS. I few days later Jerry actually called us just to see how we made out with the rest of the project. If every contractor was like Jerry we wouldn't need Angie's List.

Jerry was excellent to work with, he took the time to explain what he would be doing and how long it would take. The drywall finishing took two days to complete and Jerry was very punctual and professional all the way through the project. Jerry has an eye for detail and his work shows how he cares for what he does. When finished Jerry cleaned the work area leaving it in an outstanding condition. We really appreicate his effort and will not hesitate to call him again for any drywalling needs. Thanks Jerry!

Actually, he was kind of hard to work with. He said he would do a couple of things then when he actually got into it; he didn't end up doing those. There was some work on the existing part of the ceiling that he said he was going to fix and he didn't end up fixing it.

I had a hole in my wall that my plumbers left during remodeling and needed it patched quickly. I called Jerry and he was there the next day, gave me an estimate and finished the work that same day. Jerry has over 30 years experience and he was very professional, courteous and did a great job. I would definitely recommend him to others.

The project went great. I had previously considered doing it myself, but what would have taken me weeks was done in 5 days. Jerry subcontracted the hanging of the drywall, and the texturing, but did the taping/mudding/sanding himself. The drywall delivery company was great. The Hangers were great (they were in and done in about 6 hours, without a flaw) The quality of the work was great on all levels. Jerry was able to hide all the imperfections in my 60 year old walls and ceilings. The texturing looks great as well, with a light orange peel on the walls, and executive on the ceiling. Jerry even patched in and skim coated a couple areas where the new drywall meets the original plaster walls, and I cannot even tell where one starts and the other begins. The workers all cleaned up after themselves, and everyone was courteous and proffessional. Could not ask for more, Thanks Jerry!

Jerry followed up a few weeks later to see if I needed any additional drywall work done. I had previously mentioned that I may have another project for him and he was wanting to make sure I was pleased with his work and was touching base for any follow up work. It was great to work with Jerry as he showed up when he said he would and I felt I could rely on him for future projects.

Jerry is a great guy and does a great job! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for drywall work.

Jerry's work and service was excellent. I called him late on a Friday afternoon, and he came and looked at the damage early Saturday morning. He took very thorough notes, and answered all questions I had. He then returned Monday morning finishing all of the work by early afternoon. The work was very high quality and my ceiling now looks brand new again. He is very efficient, and cleaned all of the areas he was in very thoroughly to the point that they are now cleaner than before he arrived. I highly recommend him to anyone and would definitely use his services again.

Jerry's communication was superb. He had great follow up, and was there on time every time he said he would be.
He farmed the the hanging and spraying out. This was explained up front. The hanging crew was new to him and left a few issues. Jerry personally fixed those issues. You will never be able to tell where they are. So to me as a customer, that was all that mattered. (In my previous experience, the hangers always miss a box or two)
Bottom Line - He was prompt, friendly, did fantastic work, and the price was very resonable. (I had budgeted more)
This was not my first basement finish, so had an idea of what to expect.
I felt he was of the old school where good high quality work and doing as promised really mattered to him.
I would definitely use him again.

Jerry did an excellent job throughout this project. I called to setup an appointment for an estimate and he made himself available in the evening to take a look at my project and give me an estimate. He worked with me to get the project started that week. On Friday he had some guys come and hang the drywall. Monday and Tuesday Jerry taped, muded, and finished the drywall. Wednesday he had some other guys do the texturing. Every evening Jerry called to explain what work he finished that day and what was planned for the next. He was always prompt in the morning so that I could get to work on time. I have been priming and painting the basement and he has called several times to find out how it is going and if I am still happy with the work. I will recommend Jerry to anyone needing drywall work done.

Jerry did a terrific job. He came over within an hour of contact and had an estimate to me that evening and the work was scheduled to begin in a couple days. He showed up early and completed the work a day early and for less than his estimate. When has a tradesman finished early and charged less? The work is excellent. Jerry also pointed out some previous substandard work and fixed that. Jerry was professional in all his dealings. Phase 2 of the work is pending some warmer weather and phase 3 will follow when additional carpentry is completed.
I won't hesitate to use Jerry for all my drywall needs in the future.

Did an okay job. I had several questions about corners, ceilings and some various wall patches prior to finish work being done. I was assured that it would look perfect. Everything looked good initially. We were promised and guaranteed follow up touchups if needed. We just had the basement painted. Prior to having the basement painted I called Jerry on a few occasions to have touchup work done. I did not receive a call back. After paint, you can see the imperfections more clearly.

Additionally, the finishers broke some lights which weren't cheap but didn't break the bank either.

We still have some touchup work that needs to get done and will likely do that ourselves given that we have not heard back.

All in all, we paid good money to not be totally satisfied. Ok work, but not to my expectations.
