I hired John to put together two pieces of Sauder furniture I had purchased. He came to my home, looked at the job I was asking him to do and said he'd be happy to complete the work for $200.
Four hours later he was still working on the first piece (a desk) and told me that I had purchased a defective kit because he couldn't finish putting it together due to defective/missing parts. He went on to tell me that he had places he needed to be and was frustrated that the job was taking as long as it was taking. Meanwhile, the desk was sitting in a million pieces -- and he hadn't even started assembling the second piece.
He suggested I pay him $100 to compensate for the time he spent here (even though the job he'd been hired for was not even close to be completed.) Believing that the furniture kit I'd purchased was, indeed, defective, I went ahead and paid him.
I hired another handyman to complete the job -- he had both pieces put together within 3 hours and, obviously, stated that the kit was not defective.
This experience was completely unsatisfactory and I would not recommend John Gilbert of "Cleaning By Rosa" for ANY repair or handyman job in your home.

"Although I did suffer a heart atack from going up and down the stairs with the project, which I have medical records to back up, and which I later e-mailed this situation to client, I feel it important to note that I also repaired one large hole and one small dent in her stair well at this time of service. Just patch work alone should of been worth the trip. I don't understand people that think so little of others. Greed is a funny thing. I have many clients that would never believe such a thing of me. I have medical records to back what I say. I have the patch work on her stairwell to back my claim. I care about people and always try to do my best for them. I do not understand insainity but offen deal with it. Should anyone dought this I have many clients that will agree. With all sincereity, you can trust me. Many have. Sincerely, John C. Gilbert"

It was ok-I keep a clean house-I wanted them to deep clean some and that wasn't done. I had to tell them to vacuum the walk in closet and other items that I skip most of the time.

"We try very hard to give good service. I did call Member in response to her comments here because they came as a surprize. She not only seemed happy with our service but once completed wanted and paid for her downstairs level done on this date. Member did not pay for a deep clean but only a general clean. Had she said anything at the time of service I would of done what I could to correct it. Let me assure all who read this that her house did sparkle when I left it. She asked to have the outer edges of her closets vaccumed where shoes and many other items were present. We honestly don't move items in a closet on a general clean but did so in this case at her request. I feel we went way overboard to try to satisfy but sometimes this isn't even enough.
