I have not been happy with their service, they don't get back to you in a timely manner, they take a long time to get the work done, much longer than they promised, and they are very high priced.

I discussed on phone, then dropped my computer off. Paid a deposit of $50 on an estimated bill of $150. Later diagnosed as needing more time and $300. Had to go by again and drop off software to be reloaded. I felt like I had to keep calling him, partly because he wasn't real big at checking back but also because he seemed to favor calling the phone # listed as third choice. Once, 3 days went by before I realized he had left me a message. If he had called the number I kept leaving, that part would have gone smoother. When the work was finally complete, I went in to pick it up and he was great at showing me what he had done, and how I would be able to use it at home on my own. He installed a virus protection he feels is superior - and free. He also installed software to enable him to take control from his office. That came in handy a couple of weeks later when I discovered I didn't have sound. I called him and he was able to fix the problem quickly. It's been 1 1/2 months and I'm happy with my system again. Also, he gave me a 10% discount because I found him through Angie's list.

The quality of the repair was OK. Three months later the laptop is working fine, but there is a slight cosmetic issue. When the closed up the insides they left a very small part of a wire exposed. Iowa Computer does not carry a big inventory of parts. Once they determined what was wrong, they had to order the part. So the repair took a few days longer to complete. The delay was not too long, but future customers should keep this in mind when choosing Iowa Computer. I would use them again.
