Had him come out to my house to check my new house's chimney and fireplace. He was very professional and helped us out with information on never owning a fireplace. Placed protective gear around the fireplace so nothing would get dirty. He checked everything including the mortar around the fireplace. He showed us how the blower works and what to expect when using certain woods and fire-starters. He was very personable and friendly. Would use their services again.

Rescheduled then missed the appt. Had to call to get on schedule again. Gave $20 discount as result.

Chimney Cricket was very responsive. They scheduled my appointment within a week of my phone call, and it was great they were able to meet me around the middle of the day so I didn't have to take off of work. He called to let me know he was about 20 minutes behind which was nice to take the time to let me know.

When he arrived he shook my hand (and informed me it's good luck to shake the hand of a chimney sweep!) and inspected the look of the fireplace first. He told me to replace some loose mortar but that we could do it on our own and just to wait for it to dry before use. He found some sort of blockage at the top, which turned out to be likely a giant spider web.

He took a lot of time to explain to me how the different parts work, how we had round tile plus a liner which is really good, why it was good, etc. Our chimney was in great shape, so he just swept it for debris and built up creosote from years past. It took about 45 minutes for this process.

He climbed up onto the roof when he was done to make sure the outside part of the chimney looked good, and it did. I feel very safe knowing all of this information now and am excited to use the fireplace knowing I won't start the house on fire.

I was given a magnet for the fridge with a handwritten note to call after March to receive the service for $50 off (avoiding their busy fall season).

Great experience, they will definitely become our regular sweep.

They were very nice to work with and explained in full detail what they were doing, the parts of a chimney, and what needs to be done. They spent a lot of time with me going over the process. I feel better educated on chimney and chimney safety after having them come out to do the inspection and cleaning.
