His inspection was primarily an air test. I had to show him were the mold was throughout the house and he downplayed it and said it was not much of a problem. As he was about to leave I asked him to "inspect" the rest of the house since he did not go anywhere else in the house other than where i showed him. The air test came back and did not show much, so we had another lab do an analysis. The numbers were off the charts for 2 different fungi that were not tested by the lab he used. It turns out my wife and I spent nearly $20,000 in removing the mold from our home. Two outside walls needed to be rebuilt due to incorrect installation of windows as well as several other issues. aMold Detective did nothing to help determine if we had a mold problem or give any solutions to our problems other than recommend that we remove the carpet. I brought up my concerns to Dave right after the inspection and he told me he would refund all the cost minus travel expenses and lab fees. I never received any refund even after several reminders with email.

He was prompt and courteous. But next time I would just buy a mold jut myself and do it. As he didn't give us any specific information.

We had mold on the ceiling of our kitchen due to a previously leaky toilet. Because we have a newborn and toddler in the house, we were concerned with the type of mold that it was and if we needed to remediate ASAP. David was great...he walked through the possibilities and conducted an air quality test to determine the type of mold we were dealing with. He called immediately with the results once they were returned. Note: he will NOT remediate but merely assess if mold is present and the type of mold if it's there. We likely could have conducted the test ourselves since we knew there was mold, but he did provide peace of mind.

We were very pleased with Mr. Grimm and his inspection process. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He did a good job of explaining everything and seemed very thorough in the inspection. We would recommend his services.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of his service and the detail that was retained from the inspection and air sample. Furthermore, once the problem was confirmed Mr. Grimm is well-known by other local contractors who are the next steps in the remediation of the problem. It was just a matter of contacting an air cleaner and building contractor who then just told me they would contact Mr. Grimm to get the details of the problem so they would know how to address it.
