A-1 ELECTRIC

They said you could not put a outlet closer than 3 feet in the bathroom-GFCI? They left the house muddy (its was snowing/raining) everyday they work in the house. Never cleaned up after themselves. The owner is very unprofessional and racists, even though he hires Latinos. They drove on the grass and tore up. They completely missed driving on the driveway. Never offered to fix it. Did not complete all the items listed in the quote we agreed upon. Tried to charge me $400 to stub in for a ceiling fan. replacement outlets, they made the drywall opening larger than the outlet cover and would not repair. Pretty anything they messed they refused to fix. THEN the owner after I requested money off for items forgotten or missed and things he ruined, he has the balls to call the building permit dept because i removed drywall in the dining room. super dick move!!! and not trustworthy.

John responded to my request for an estimate and I was immediately impressed with his expertise and professionalism. He explained to me how code had changed since the house was built and what needed to be done beyond my initial request. The team he sent to do the multi-day job worked apace and finished as expected. A couple issues popped up after completion which were addressed right away. The building inspector mentioned that, in his experience, A-1 Electric does topnotch work. I heartily recommend A-1 Electric.

I am getting a panel replacement along with updated lighting, all to code. This job is only half done and I couldn't be happier with how it is going. Jared and Carlos and doing a fantastic job. During the quote process, I felt John (the owner) was very professional and went through my whole house to issue a proper quote. I have contacted several electricians in my area and some wanted money for a quote! Really? I have had others not return my messages or never call me back. I made the right decision here. I was worried for nothing.

John was very professional and through. He's a nice guy that wants to do a good job for you!

There were complications in installation due to how original fan was installed. John fixed everything and installed correctly.

John was fantastic. Very hard working, thorough and professional. I rarely write reviews but our experience with John at A-1 was too good not to. Highly recommend and look forward to having him back for more work in the future.

It went very well. The price was great compared some ridiculous bids we received. They were available when we needed them and were very professional. The seemed very knowledgeable about building codes and handled the permits and inspections for us. Only a couple small issues came up at the inspections that they quickly resolved. They got the wiring run from the garage nicely along the wall in a metal conduit that doesn't stand out. The only criticism I would give is that the wall sconce boxes were placed too high. They didn't ask up front about what height we wanted them or what style light we were using which factors into how high the junction box should be since some are vertical and some horizontal. They were able to move them down for me when I saw how high they were placing them. However because the lines were already run, they could only be moved down a few inches which was still a little higher than I preferred but low enough that they wouldn't be too close to the drop ceiling when we install that. Also one of the boxes was placed too close to the edge of an outside corner so when they installed the light, the edge of it is slightly past the corner. We didn't notice this until after all the work was done and since all the drywall, painting, etc, was already done, it wasn't worth going back to try and get it moved. So I cant speak to weather they would have moved it over for us or been able to at that point, but I suspect they would have. So overall a great job for a fair price with just a few small "attention to detail" type issues. I recommend being up front about exactly where you want lights/outlets etc and you wont have any problems

He just do good work, he's prompt, he gave a good bid, did the work when he was supposed to.

John came out to provide an estimate on the work exactly when he said he would (only a few days after my initial phone call). The estimate was very reasonable and after we accepted his bid, he had the work scheduled within the same week. The work was scheduled for the afternoon. A job in the morning took a little longer than expected so he contacted me right away to let me know they’d be a little late. He arrived at the revised time and worked late until the job was complete (on a Friday evening). The quality of the work was outstanding and exactly what we had asked for. I would use A-1 again for any electric project on my house. I couldn’t be happier with the level of service and the quality for work.

Showed up on time. Investigated the issue and found the problem. Showed me the issue before proceeding. Got it fixed promptly. Service was very professional.

Said they were pretty busy and gave a rough estimate of 2 weeks wait time.
Took less time to get to us than they said. 
One slight glitch, they said they were planning to get started one day and didn't start until the next, but it all worked out fine. That's the one area that I decided to give a B instead of an A, and considering everything, I'd call it an A-.
Were fairly understanding that we had a lot of stuff against the walls where they needed to run conduit, but left it in a bit of a mess, So, I'd say that's a wash.
Left some dug up areas still dug up for inspection, it's been a while, haven't heard back (or had those areas filled yet).

Called John this morning (10/29/2015) and explained problem to him (i.e., I could not get the garbage disposal to work). Garbage disposal  would work when I plugged it into another electrical  outlet (I conveyed this information to John). John offered to come out in the morning (10/29/2015), but I was unable to meet him because I had a morning appointment. We agreed that John could come over in the afternoon. John arrived at my home around 4:00 PM, checked the switch to the garage disposal outlet (beneath the kitchen sink), and found that the switch was defective. John replaced the switch and now everything works fine. Definitely will use John again in the future, if/when I have any more electrical problems.
