Elite Painting

Elite painting prepped and completed the kitchen in less than a week. Cleaned up and addressed a couple of minor issues regarding cabinet door hinges.  In addition Donald Chestnutwood provided valuable advice on color selection and design.  Elite painting has painted two houses I lived in,  most recently the 941 30th St residence. I believe he is the best painter in the greater Des Moines area and have recommended him to family and friends over the last 12 years since he completed work on my previous home in Sherman Hill area of Des Moines.  On both houses he and his crew carefully prepped and restored exterior areas that needed work. He stands by his work and touched up the house in Sherman Hill prior to putting it on the market at no cost per his quarantee. He is like family. I have used Elite painting for general carpentry and found them to be as proficient in that area as they are in the painting domain. They added a set of stairs to my front porch and a firewood rack to my outside shed, both are rock solid and aesthetically pleasing.  I give them my highest endorsement.

The owner started by taking me around the Sherman Hill area of Des Moines, showing me homes he had previously done (35+ homes), showing me paint colors/combinations he thought would look good on my house.  After I signed on with him, he was at my house every day with his staff working along side them.  He was also readily available by phone, returning my call within 1-2 hours if not available when I called.  They were there on time each day, worked long hours with quality staff -- and the same staff, which is a plus!

They were very careful about the plants/items around my home.  Top quality prep work (spent needed time prepping prior to painting) taping windows prior to painting, even taped down tarps on my solarium roof and porch roof prior to painting the siding.  Intricately painted around my windows to get the effect I was looking for.  Went the extra mile and measured for new windows and a door that I wanted to install prior to painting and repaired a side door I didn't even know was rotted.  They were very aware of picking up at the end of each day. 

I can't say enough about how good they were and what a positive experience this was ---- I am very pleased, and when the job was done, except for the beautiful new house I had, you wouldn't have even known they were there.  I definitely highly recommend them to all and will be using them in the future for other jobs around my home.  The company is top notch, and they are definitely all about the restoration of a home, not just the painting of it. 

It went fine.  They worked long days ( 12 hours) and every day, weekends included, until the job was done.  They returned in three days to do touch ups, and are scheduled to return in 10 days for another check.  The job is guaranteed for three years, with any touching up done in that time at no charge.

Donald and his crew did a great job on painting and repair work. Great communication and prompt service with quality results. Would definitely use Elite Painting again.

We had an excellent experience with Elite Painting. We live in a historical area of Des Moines and must meet certain guidelines. We thought we would need to replace several pieces of siding and some window sills. Donald and his crew repaired all of the damaged areas and did a great paint job. Donald is a true craftsman and I would recommend him highly to anyone.

Donald who owns Elite Painting, has done outstanding work for us over the years in Napa Valley.  He takes a lot time and gives you a job way beyond any other painter I have used in the Des Moines area.  The caulking he did was also outstanding.  Our daughter also used him in Clive and had the same experience.  He also will come back the next year if something needs further attention - no charge.  All great!  Very honest man.

Donald did an outstanding job. He prepped before painting my house by using about 100 tubes of Volcom to help seal the cracks and joints on my house. He then painted the house and painted all of the trim and edges of my windows. He always comes back right away to make any adjustments and to also check that everything still looks great and is in good condition.
