first of all thier salesman tried twice to get me to put the deposit into his personal and account. Said it was a business account and sent me an invite from Zelle to send money. I did not. Gave him a check. After this salesman left the business, no one communicated with me even when I sent several text. The crew showed up unannounced and ran over 2 sheds i had stacked in yard and ruined the porch roof by putting excessive weight on it breaking the seams. Now water pours in. They did no clean up, left a horrendous mess and left their dump truck with 2 flat tires blocking garage after they left. They pounded on the roof excessively for 8 solid hrs. AJ ignored my text then told me only then that the salesman i signed the contract with was gone. I had no idea when they were coming to install the roof even though I asked for an install date. They just showed up like a herd of elephants. I had specified that I DID NOT WANT SUBCONTRACTORS WORKING ON MY HOUSE AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I GOT. The crew was from Texas and that caused communication problems. I picked up nails, shingles and bottle caps for over 2 weeks. I believe the contract i signed is null and void because it was signed under false pretenses and promised work by salesman was not performed. Never in my life have i seen such a bad contractor. They sent an adjuster to get the balance from me. I felt very uncomfortable. Roofs R Us is not a good company to deal with. I am still extremely stressed over this. I'm a senior citizen and I think they thought I was not smart enough to question what was going on. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. I HAVE PICTURE'S OF THE DESTRUCTION.

We got a roof replacement from Roofs R Us in February 2016. It's been leaking for 3 years. Just found out today that he never took out a permit or had it inspected. Guess now I know why! When we called AJ to have him come repair it, we didn't get a phone call back for 2 weeks. We finally called other roofers to come look at it, as well as our insurance company, and all told me that the roof was leaking because nothing was put between the chimney and the shingles. Also, the roofer had slid his work boots across the shingles so much that all of the granules had come off of a brand new roof. Shingles were placed haphazardly and the roofer cut into other brand new shingles. AJ came to our home, told us he would fix it in 2 weeks. That was 3 months ago and we haven't heard from him since. I just got a letter from my insurance company that they won't renew our insurance policy due to the "improper installation of the shingles on the home the roof is leaking." I'm incredibly ****** off now. I had to pay someone else $13,000 to fix my roof because this $8,000 roof was put on so badly in 2016.

Ajay who is the owner came out and gave me a quote for a dormer leak above a covered porch. I agreed on the price because he gave a 2 year warranty and sent Kyle out to fix the roof the next week. He removed and replace 2 rows of shingles. Then Ajay came out the same day to collect is money in which I paid him. After the first rain, It leaks worse. Tried to get in contact with him and his response is that he is to busy to come back. That's been 2 months since repair. Now I am in contact with the Attorney Generals office for further action.

Use a 32 ft ladder and one employee. Kyle did a great job. Friendly. Professional. And insightful. We will use again and based on the responsiveness and flexibility we will use for other roofing needs as they arise.

I talked to the owner, Ajay Diaz, at 8am on Sunday, 6/8, about having my gutters cleaned. He said it would cost $99 and that he could schedule it for Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week--which is pretty timely. Imagine my surprise when he came by my place later that day (on a Sunday!) to do the work! He brought a truck, tall ladder, and all the equipment needed and politely asked if he could use my hose while working. The work took an hour or so. Mr. Diaz gave me some information about my gutters, fascia, etc. and let me know that my contractors did a good job and that the gutters were dirty (and clogged in several places, but there was no repair work to be done. I paid Mr. Diaz $99 by check and he was on his way to another job. Great service! Very professional. Although I have a new roof (new construction), I'll certainly keep him in mind for roof repairs down the road. He's licensed and knows a lot about his business.

Hired to clean gutters on two story house. Got to all the gutters, even on the 40-ft roof. While they were up there they patched some minor shingle damage. Very reasonable price, very good service!

This is a follow-up to a previous complaint.  Roof R Us installed a new roof for me in July/August 2011.  In February of 2012, we discovered the roof was leaking, resulting in significant water damage to the interior of our home.  To date i have called Ajay Dias, the owner of Roof R Us more than 30 times, left three messages and sent a text to his phone.  He has not responded.  I have to pay another roofing contractor $850.00 to fix the problems resulting from Roof R Us shoddy job.  I am also out a $500.00 deductible to my insurance company to repair the interior water damage. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

When I initially called Roofs R us and explained that I had a leak and was unsure of what was causing it Ajay arrived within a few hours, went on the roof, took pictures, and showed me that the issue was with the seal on my vent lines.  He was very professional and courtious and the repair was made the next day.  He promtply asked for payment instead of submitting a bill but I figured that since he had responded so quickly it wasn't a big deal.  However, on the third day it rained and the ceiling in my kitchen was wet in the same spot.  I immediately called Ajay and he stated they would be back by the end of the week to take a look, however he never showed up.  I spent the next month leaving messages trying to get my repair completed.  It wasn't until a friend of mine heard about my issues and called Ajay with a threat to report him to the better business bureau that he came back and fixed the issue.  It turned out that during the initial repair one of the shingles around the vent line was not set right and was allowing the leak to still occur.  Once the shingle was set properly the leak went away.  Needless to say, what could have been fixed very quickly had he bothered to come back lingered for over a month because he didn't have the courtesy to finish the job.  Also beware, he asks for payment the minute the repair is done which means if there are any issues there's no reason why he would come back to follow up.

"I'm going to go and talk to (Member name removed) and interview her. I want to learn, besides the clean up, if there was anything else we could do to be more professional. My goal is for every customer to be happy and I'm sure she will have insight on that."

Not professional, but price, and the fact that he was persistent was key for me.  Also most businesses did not respond.

AJ and one worker showed up (Kyle). They talked and bickered all the while they were together.  Kyle did all the work and AJ stayed on the ground barking orders. AJ had his girlfriend strutting around getting in the way. AJ left for 3 hours and came back when the work was almost completed.

I called Roofs R Us after reading comments on Angie's List. They responded quickly and after meeting with A.J., the owner, we paid a $2,000.00 deposit, with the understanding that the rest would be due upon completion.  I will say at the start that the the price was reasonable, but Roof's R Us is far from a professional company and I would not recommend using them.  They did not deliver the service that was promised, and I constantly had to make phone calls to A.J. to pressure him into getting people here to finish the job.

Roofs R Us is grossly short staffed.  I find that phenomena odd, given the current economic climate.  One employee, Kyle, is an experienced roofer with an outstanding work effort.  If it weren't for Kyle, the job would have been a disaster.  A.J. promised the job would take one or two days, weather permitting, but only two workers (Kyle included) showed up on the first day.  Accordingly, only the garage was re-roofed on the first day.  Rain was forecast for the second day, but A.J. said he would check the weather in the morning and send in a crew if it looked like work could be performed.  The weather was beautiful, but A.J. never called, nor returned multiple phone calls I made to him.  Responding to my frustration after he finally returned my calls, I agreed to allow A.J. to send in a crew on a Sunday to get the job moved ahead.  On Sunday, one worker showed up.  From the moment he was on the roof, a stream of loud and despicable profanity began to issue forth from his mouth.  In addition, he spent most of the time making and receiving calls on his cell phone, and managed to do nothing more than tear out approximately 1/4 of the rook on the main house. (Our house is small, approximately 800 sq. ft.)

One week later, the job was finally complete, but only because Kyle stuck to the job.  Most days he was working alone.  The list of complaints against Roofs R Us is long:

1.  They did a horrible job preparing for the tear out.  Multiple tar marks and dents were all over my house, and if I had not stepped in to assist in setting up a better refuse slide on the side of the house, the damage to the exterior of my home would have been significant.  As it was I spent a few hours rubbing out tar marks with a solvent and spray painting sections of the aluminum siding where Roofs R Us crew had carelessly thrown old shingles off the roof with complete disregard for damage.

2. A.J. is not a hands-on owner.  Despite claims that he is an experienced roofer, he never went up on the roof.  He never inspected the work and barely lifted a finger to assist his workers.

3. Clean up was horrible.  On the last day of the job (an other Sunday) I went out and spent two or three hours helping Kyle and his assistant pick up the shingles and wheelbarrow them to the dump trailer.  I also borrowed a magnet sweeper (Roofs R Us magnet sweeper apparently had been run over by truck and A.J had not gotten around to replacing it)  from my neighbor to pick up the hundreds of nails left behind.

4.  A.J's lack of professionalism was irksome.  He was constantly asking for payment before the job was completed, and on the Sunday when the job finally was completed, my phone started ringing incessantly.   It was A.J. asking that I pay him the balance due immediately.  I told him I would see him the next day, but he insisted on coming to my home that Sunday afternoon to get the check.  I agreed to this, but it smacked of a contractor of who is living from job to job.

One last note.  One month after the job was done, I was up on a ladder for a task not related to the roofing job.  I discovered my gutters were full of old roofing debris: shingle dust, chunks of old shingles, hundreds of nails, etc.  I discovered this on a Wednesday and call.ed A.J. to complain.  He apologized profusely and promised to send someone over to clean the debris out of the gutters.  Friday morning he still had not shown up. I called A.J. again.  He promised me someone would be there that afternoon.  At 5 p.m. I called A.J. again.  He didn't answer.  Frustrated, I put up the ladder and did the job myself.

This is not a professional company, and clearly a "get what you pay" for situation.  I would not recommend hiring Roofs R Us.

I contacted Roof R Us  by calling on the phone and there was no response after two days .  I contacted them again by email and got a call the next day.  They came over right away and gave me a quote to do the work and came the next day to do the work.
