Had them for years to do plumbing and hvac and they were very good. Called for them to fix furnace and was told they do not do residential.

After making us wait over a week to come out the Technician did not hook up everything so furnace did not kick on after he left. We had to call another company and they had it totally fixed within 45 minutes, and they could not believe that the furnace had not been hooked back up to electricity. Will never use them again.

This contractor is mediocre, at best. Paid a premium for a water heater to be moved and replaced, but couldn't get all outlets working after the install. So then they tried to sell the idea that they needed a half a day to cut my walls apart and change a mixing valve. Unacceptable, and unexperienced, apparently. I still need the shower fixed, but will find another contractor as I cannot trust Hometown Plumbing Davenport.

"The home has old galvanized water piping. Unfortunately it is possible and relatively common to have debris in the lines after draining/refilling the water system affect faucets. Our Service Manager has contacted the customer. Thank you"

They came to check out the situation, said they would send me an estimate, and never heard from them again. Never did a followup. We bought a new furnace from a different company.

Said they do not do this. Annual cleaning and coolant check not done. Angie’s List: Please help me find someone who will do this! It seems that many are dropping out because they have fixed systems to work on!!!!!

He really knew what he was doing and dind't mind us asking questions. Gave us the piece of burst copper piping and old removed sillcock to see what caused the leak and explained how it probably occurred. Changed the angle of the copper feed pipe so it would drain properly when shut off and not freeze next winter. Friendly and nice to work with. We were surprised by the price but did not receive an estimate when requested by phone. I guess they charge for time from work place to where we live as part of the hours on the invoice. Now we know for next time.

The guy came and what was working don’t work. He charged $160 and told to get a new one. Never do business with these guys. They rip you off.

Serviceman was polite, friendly and on time. He really knew what he was doing and quickly diagnosed a failed capacitor. Upon request, he gave us the damaged one. He also was patient with our many questions and advised us regarding expected failure of our old system in the future, as we were trying to figure out if we should buy a new unit or just fix it now and then. We were very happy with them and hope others use their services too.

He arrived on time. He was able to repair both. He had to innovate a solution for one toilet. They both work well even though one is over 20 years old.

The technician arrived on time and a very thorough inspection and cleaning for the summer season. Professional and reasonably priced. And the fall furnace inspection is also included in the fee.

I was totally satisfied. He seemed to know what he was doing. I bought the thing and they put it in. It was $155 for the labor, which seems pretty high, but I guess for a plumber, that's not unusual. I bought the garbage disposal and it's working. They came the next day. He was just right on the button. He sat outside for about 2 minutes to be sure he was right on time. He wasn't here to do the humidifier on the furnace but I asked him since he was here to take a look and see what I needed to do and he did. It was kind of above and beyond for what he was called here to do. He didn't charge me anything for it so the company didn't get anything for him doing it but he spent probably another 10 minutes just explaining the humidifier to me and how the filters work and that sort of thing so it was just sort of an extra.

really well. Water heater was out and they were able to get here quickly, assess if could be repaired and when it was agreed that it was not worth repairing they installed new high quality heater quickly and very close to what i would've paid for a lesser model at lowes or menards, This isnt my first job with them and likely won't be the last.

Hometown Plumbing & Heating could've, well, I mean, they were running late so we had to leave for them, so may be just time-wise. One of them was knowledgeable. They did call me afterwards, so I would give them a C for punctuality.

The secretary was extreamly condescending during our less than one minute long phone conversation. I asked basic questions, about an hourly rate and if there were any appointments available today and each time she replied with a bored sigh and rude tone. When I asked when the work could be done she gave me one appointment time for the next day. I asked if there were any others available and she replied with a long drawn out "No" as if she were talking to a child. If this is the first impression people are getting of your business Im shocked you have any customers at all. Someone needs to tell the woman answering your phone calls to drop the attitude.

Was very professional and neat. Made sure that the wood floor was protected before doing any work. He cleaned up after the work was done. He answered my questions about why the disposal needed to be replaced. It took approximately 90 minutes to do the work. He made sure that they were no leaks. Told me to call if there were any problems. No problems so far. Would use them again. Since this was not an emergency I waited until the day that they service my area. It was about a week before the disposal was replaced. I had to use a bucket under the sink until it was fixed since whenever the faucet was used, the water went thru the disposal into the cabinet.
