First of all, during the interview on October 22, 2016, the pricing was told by the owner, Kyleena Snyder, as $30/hour. We agreed to hire Maid to Service for our house cleaning because that was the rate we were paying with our last cleaning service. After the first cleaning services per provided, however, we learned by the owner, Kyleena, that the cost was $30/hour per person working on cleaning your home. Business owner, Kyleena, brought another person with her, so it was actually $60/hour, double what was quoted. I expressed concern about this and, because she was nice, I gave her another chance and foolishly agreed to pay what she was asking. After each cleaning, there was dust on tables after each visit, the area between the washer and dryer was not swept, nor were the floors underneath open tables, inside closet floors, and under the kitchen island (it's not affixed to the floor). Each time they were large clumps of hair on the carpets and areas of flooring that were completely untouched, especially in front of exterior doors, the mantle on the fireplace and hearth were only dusted once during the entire time they were cleaning our home, and I am not including the one cleaning visit when the room where the fireplace was closed due to remodeling. Also, on one occasion a bag of garbage was left on my kitchen countertop. We never ever put full garbage bags on our counter tops as it is not sanitary. I had to clean the counter tops again after removing the bag of garbage myself. For $60/hour, I expected more. I would also like to add that my former cleaning service was a two person team, and they cleaned a 5000 square foot home in 105 minutes. Maid to Serve took 120-180 minutes to sloppily clean a 3000 square foot home. The last straw for Maid to Serve as our cleaning service was when a new representative from the company began cleaning my home on February 3, 2017. I always want to know who is in my home and feel comfortable with those people in my home. I asked the new worker if she would sweep under the kitchen island and showed her how to use the central vacuum in the kitchen. Again, the area under the kitchen island was unswept, as were all the closets on the main level of the home. In addition, the new cleaning person scoffed at me very rudely when I asked her a question about cleaning. We do not tolerate disrespect or hate of any kind in our home for any reason, and we are not paying $60/hour to have someone in our home who is disrespectful to us. In addition, I received a text from the owner of Maid to Serve the following evening saying that I owed them more money since I asked for "extras". The "extra" I asked for was to have the lint trap in the dryer vacuumed, and make an additional bed. The vacuuming of the lint trap took 2 minutes (I timed her), and the making of the extra bed took another 3 minutes (I again timed her). I also timed the stay and the total time cleaning was 1 hour 50 minutes. Also, on the evening of February 3, I discovered from an acquaintance that information about things going on in my home was being shared with other people outside my home. We are private people and did not appreciate news from inside our home getting to others in the community. The next morning, I mailed the owner of Maid to Service a check for the additional money owed and cancelled services. I then received a text upon receipt of said check and cancellation that I never offered any feedback regarding poor service. I always provided feedback regarding jobs during their visit that were not accomplished. The excuse, "I get distracted" was used frequently any time I pointed out something that was not complete. I was consistently nice about each missed job, and each excuse about being distracted, however I was chalking it up in my evaluations of each job, and the disrespectful behavior exhibited towards me by the new representative of the company was the final straw.
Description of Work: Services to be performed were cleaning of the house duties: dusting tables, blinds, door trim, window trim; sweeping floor, mopping floor, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning kitchen, cleaning windows and doors.
