Description of Work: We used Kaufman's Handyman service to prepare the house for painting. They provided new siding boards and when they couldn't find all they needed, they consulted with us and asked permission to make the boards so they would fit and look decent. They were professional and polite. Usually contacted us before they showed up. And we were pleased with their workmanship. They also replaced two support beams and window sills inside and out on our three-season porch. And they reported when they found some damage done by carpenter ants and waited to finish work until pest control completed their work.

+ 1 moreThis was the worst remodel experience I have ever had. The project went approximately $11,000 over their estimate, despite my having asked for revised estimate/quote/bid on day one when their employee stated that he suspected it was low. I never received a revised estimate/quote/bid despite asking numerous times, yet was assured that they would 'make this right'. Very unpleasant people to work with. I could not under any circumstances recommend using this company for any reason and would most certainly NOT ACCEPT THEIR ESTIMATES AS ACCURATE. Demand a bid or quote. Lowest possible customer service standards were displayed by the owners and employees of this organization.
Description of Work: Install homeowner purchased flooring in entry, hall, powder room and kitchen area. Replace 3 interior and 2 homeowner purchased exterior doors, baseboard and other trim. This basically for labor only, most materials were purchased separately by the homeowner so are not reflected in the total cost of approx. $15,000 spent.

We had a 'window' of time with a deadline for guests arriving and said we didn't want to start unless we could be guaranteed a finish date--so they built in a few days of flux and came in ahead of schedule with only a minor item (backordered showerhead--but were given a different one to use so we were not inconvenienced) yet to finish. The owner (Devan), designer (Kristen) and project mgr. (Craig) were all top notch--prompt, pleasant, kept a clean work area, were easy to work with and accommodating with a few changes that had to be made (instead of regrouting a large area of ceramic tile we changed to wood flooring upon learning the underlying problem was in framing structure 24 on center vs. 16 on center). This was as painless a process as could be possible! Top notch folks all around!
Description of Work: Remodel of master bathroom, laundry room, kitchen sink and lighting, foyer/guest bath flooring (ceramic tile to wood) then refinish all wood floors. Removed a very large master bath Jacuzzi with deck (replaced master bath flooring, toilet, shower) to be able to add a hall closet and enlarged laundry room/garage entry while adding some custom built cabinetry, bench seating area. Added lighting in office, added/changed ceiling fan in office.

+ -1 moreWe are very pleased with the outcome of our project. This was the best contractor we have worked with and found all levels of service very professional. While we intended the remodeled space to be a second use space, we now find we spend most of our time there. The completed project met all of our expectations. They were able to take our design ideas and make them a reality. In addition, we really enjoyed working with all of the staff and found them very skilled.
Description of Work: We remodeled our basement by adding a home office and entertainment center.
