They showed up very quickly to assess. Scheduled repair very quickly. The crew was very professional each time I has to speak to them. Very happy with how the conducted themselves. The work was great and they cleaned up and left no indication they had been there. Happy with everything overall. I can't speak to price because I never got multiple quotes. I called for one the first time and got no response. I was happy with the service the first time for, so I didn't hesitate to contact them when I got hit again.

I was given an approximate date of 8/20 for repair back in june. they started on8/19/14 and completed on 20th.Everything joe bates said he would do during our estimate was completed without me having to ask for anything.

Despite a severe storm that passed through the area the week before, they honored our place in their line.
Showed up on time, spread tarps to catch debris and quickly when to work.
Work was done in two days (of very hot weather) with a couple hours of final clean up on the third morning.  
Crew left roof in water tight condition overnight.  No concerns about rain.
Shingle lines are straight/uniform.
Cleanup was thorough.
Crew was courteous to us and I heard no foul language.
No surprises in final bill -- same as bid.

They surprised me they arrived so quickly for the estimate. They noticed the problems with the previous builders shoddy job which needed more venting on top and would affix the shingles better. In addition, they got the extra foot of venting free from their supplier so the job was less than half what it might have cost! Great local family owned business!

put new roof on main house and detached garage. A job done well and very good cleaning up also.  I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing work done. they care about the workmanship and it shows.

they replaced individual shingles that were damaged by hail.  house approx 8 yrsold,  roof in good condition.  they did not try to sell whole new roof.  good people.

They were very reasonable. I did not have any problems with the workers. I would use them again if they are not very busy.

They arrived when they said they were going to with all materials and equipment.  The supervisor communicated with us on their schedule and what part of the roof they were going to start.  The workers kept the trash picked up as they worked around the house including using a large magnet to pick up nails.  When they found some damged plywood, the supervisor told us about it, showed us the area so we knew exactly what had to be replaced.  They had the materials which did not slow down the work one bit.  The job took a day and half to complete.  They made sure their equipment was not in our way before they left for the day and were back when they said they would be the next morning.  They finished installing the roof and cleaned up all the trash and packed up their equipment.  The supervisor asked us to review the work before they left.  The work was done great.  We would definitely hire and recommend Bates Roofing for any type of roof repair work.

Our roof that was replaced was four or five years old. We have to get that replaced again because of the hail problem in August. We had used them four or five years ago. They did such a good job that we want them back to do the present one. Unfortunately, they are booked out because they are apparently very good. They cannot get to us until spring but we have no need to worry as we don't have any serious damage like leaks or anything that is going on. They are good. They are not taking anybody new right now. They will take you if you have done some work with him in the past as they are completely booked out. The work was top notch. We are definitely using him again. It is fine if we get to a spot where they can do it a little sooner but we are willing to wait until March, April or May.
