BRANDY'S A-1 VACUUM & SEWING

We did not receive a call that it was fixed. So after about two weeks we called and were told that it was fixed and that they had tried to call us. I could not find their number in my missed call list. My husband went to pick it up, and was charged $100.00. He was told that the tech had changed the roller, bag, and belt. All I needed done was the gasket replaced. I had changed the roller and belt less than a month earlier, and those rollers last for years. When my husband told me he was charged that much, I called, and the owner was not the least bit helpful. He said the tech who fixed it had gone home and wouldn't be back til nine the next day. So we were there right at nine. The owner said the tech wasn't there and that he'd call us when he got in. We went to breakfast, no call. So we stopped back, and he and the tech were both there. The tech asked if there was a bag of parts on the vacuum when we picked it up. There wasn't, and I told him I had just changed the roller. He said he wouldn't have changed the roller without a reason, but he could not produce the "old" roller. After a good deal of arguing, the owner refunded $50.00. I would NEVER go there again or suggest that anyone else go there. The tech even said he changed the bag: it was about 1/3 full when we picked it up. All very disconcerting.
