I've got a Honda and I don't let anyone else touch it but the Honda dealer. In the past I took it somewhere else and they messed up the oil pan and I had to pay $300 to have it replaced. I don't go to the cheap places anymore, it's not worth it.

They are professional and the service reps are good at what they do. However, I've had some service that they've looked over, even when I've asked them specifically to check. I had a problem with a lot of wheel noise coming from the back of my car and I asked them to look it over and drive it so they could confirm they heard the problem. When I picked it up they said everything was ok and they didn't hear anything, which meant they obviously DIDN"T take it for a spin. I took the car to a tire service shop who drove it and diagnosed it as bad wheel bearings in the first 20 seconds of driving (an easy diagnosis for an experienced mechanic). The tire shop had the win, so I gave them the service. Honda just missed out.

I purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle from Smart Honda in early November 2013. Within one week I had it back to the dealer to investigate a grinding noise upon startup. To make a long story short the part wasn’t in stock and it took two weeks to fix the car. Driving home from the dealership another problem developed; part wasn’t in stock and it took a week to fix the car. Door seals also began falling off. I contacted the salesman to express my displeasure but never heard back. In March I experienced a third major problem, and at this point I was angry. I called the salesman I had initially worked with and he immediately tried to make me feel guilty for being angry and brushed me off to a “manager” who of course didn’t answer his phone. I left a message and started calling numbers listed on the website until I got a live person. This man also tried to make me feel guilty for being irritated. When that tactic didn’t work the next line I started getting, from both service people and sales people, was “Why do you think any of this is our problem? We just sell the cars, we don’t build them.” I will confess, this argument left me dumbfounded. They sell the cars: why wouldn't they be responsible for the product they sell?
In the end I was promised an extension of warranty but when it came it was not what had been represented in extensive conversation with two sales managers. I would not recommend dealing with Smart Honda. If you have a problem with the car they will tell you that it’s not their fault since they didn’t build it.

Drop off and shuttle services are always good at Smart Honda. After the initial repair, we had an issue with the heater not working. I returned the car for service on a Friday. They could not locate the problem Friday so I was provided with a new, clean loaner vehicle for the weekend. When the issue was fixed the following Monday by replacing the thermostat, my service advisor said it might have been a whole new issue or the thermostat problem could have been caused by an error on their part when they fixed the idle air control valve. Because it could have been their error, I was not charged for the thermostat repair. It was inconvenient to have to return the car after the first repair, but I appreciated how they stood behind their work and made it right at no charge and with minimum hassle or fanfare.

The repair service and customer service at Smart Honda is outstanding. Beginning with an assigned representative (always the same person) and ending with hassle free and timely service (you can almost every time wait) it is fun to have the oil change and some repair done.

Extremely friendly. Got Clear explanations about repairs needed - verbal and written - from a pro. Did not feel patronized or pressured in any way. Respectful. Helpful. Cheerful. The waiting area is great too; comfortable, clean, modern, space to work, kids play area, free beverages, fruit, and cookies out the day I was there. Clean, attractive restroom. Fast. I bought my car here too in 2008. Best car buying experience I ever had. Warm, Patient, answered all my questions with obvious knowledge of facts. Enthusiastic about the products but not over- pitching them. Still keeps in touch to make sure I'm satisfied with my purchase.! A friend had him before and raved about both both him and the car she bought . I'm so grateful she referred me to him .

nCalled for service appointment mid-morning and was told to bring my car in at 10:00 the next morning. The service was completed the same day at about the estimate given. The brake inspection resulted in replacement of pads and rotor turning. The work was completed by closing. The service was good but the price seemed to be a bit steep.
