It was an ongoing thing. They fixed something and then three weeks later it didn't function. They took it in and they said well we told you it might need a new corroborator and I said why don't you just put in a new corroborator instead of rebuilding the old one and they said I will tell you what we will do. What we will do we will put it in for free you just pay for the corroborator and then when I got there they changed it and I have heard nothing but complaints about that company. When I got there they charged me for labor and corroborator and everything. In a short amount of time they had a $1000 when they just put in a new corroborator would have been whatever 600 or something. I am a commercial account. I own a pawnshop so I took a lot of stuff to them and once I mentioned that every single person I talked to said that's all we have ever heard from that company.

I was quoted 3-5 days for service, they had contacted me within 2 days to let me know that it would be cheaper to buy a new one than repair this old one.
They quoted me $125 for the tune-up and a new chain, but ended up charging me nothing even for the diagnosis. Their store has competitive pricing and great customer service. I purchased my new chainsaw there and I will definitely buy any future equipment and tools I need from Clive Power Equipment.

I called to find out the cost and time it would take to sharpen my chainsaw blade. I brought my chainsaw in and left it overnight. They had it ready by the time they stated, and charged me what they quoted. They were very professional and the store seemed very bright and clean.

I refused the offer of maintenance service on the mower and reiterated that I only wanted the problem diagnosed. I was told that I would hear from them with two weeks. After two business weeks had passed, I called to check on the status. 2 days later, I received a call letting me know the mower was fixed. I expressed confusion as I never authorized any work on it and asked what had been done to it. The woman I spoke with said they performed maintenance, including replacing the air filter and spark plugs and flushing the fuel system. I explained that I only wanted a diagnosis and didn't want the work done. She said "Well, are you saying you wouldn't have had the work done?", and was generally confrontational. When I arrived to pick up the mower the next day, I again mentioned that I never authorized any maintenance and had only wanted the problem diagnosed. No one offered any explanation why I wasn't called before the work was done and no offer was made to reduce the charge.
