I am from out of town and needed to drive back home right after Thanksgiving. My car started having issues. Not being from the area, I did a google search for a Land Rover mechanic (the Local Land Rover dealership was 2 weeks out even though I told them I was from out of town and needed to get home) and found Acheson Auto Works. I am so glad I did... I contacted Acheson auto Works Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving and they got me in the same day and diagnosed my vehicle and got me on my way. Thank you so much for the great service! Would definitely use them again or would highly recommend.

In 44 years of my life this was the worst experience i ever had from a shop , Midas would come in second worse.I would've sued this guy big time if my emails (proof ) did'nt get deleted.Acheson painted the vehicle without even doing body work , skimped in any thing he could to save money , I told him many times to paint it grey , he painted it silver , Also on a previous job he was supposed to fix a oil leak , its still leaking , Acheson refuses to take responsibility and settle the matter fairly .I paid Sam almost $3000 total for body work paint & oil leak fix , I requested only half of my money back being nice about it . He's trying to dodge the issue by not answering his emails .Beware of Acheson Auto Works!!!!!!!Beware of Acheson Auto works

I have used Acheson's in the past and been happy with them, so when I had relatively minor damage to my bumper, I went to them for repair. When I walked into the office the receptionist was busy, then a man came by (who turned out to be Sam Acheson, the owner) and asked how he could help me. He came out and looked over the damage, said they could fix it, and e-mailed me an estimate the same day. He also took the time to buff out a few minor scratches on the door, unrelated to the bumper, at no charge. When I called to make the appointment, they got me in promptly. When I asked if I could get the car back in two days, they said they would do their best. I took the car in on Monday, and someone called me that morning to say the bumper would require a little extra work and to check that I would be willing to pay the extra $40 that it would cost. I agreed. On Tuesday I called them in the afternoon, they said they were almost finished, and I could pick the car up after 4:30. When I arrived it was sitting out front waiting for me, looking like nothing had ever happened to it. I was extremely pleased with the repair job, impressed that Sam himself came out to look at the car, and that the price was reasonable. I should also add that the woman who answers the phone and the person who called me about the additional $40 were both very pleasant.

Acheson could find nothing wrong but charged me $500.  I accepted that price because they said they had completed other repairs.  When I got the car home I noticed that the inner panel of the (driver) door  was missing, the leather from the bottom of the door had been cut off, the leather on the dash board had been melted and drivers door was lighter.  Came to realize that the door weighed less because the mechanic took out the inside of the door and left it at the garage.  The mechanic also left the housing for the blinker lights (in the trunk) off after he changed the driver side bulb.  Obviously, I complained.  I immediately went back to the shop and their receptionist "George denied all wrong doing and said that was I was suggesting was impossible!"  I told George that although the car was not new, it was brought new and there was no way that I had brought the car to them with the inside of the door empty (you could see the inside of the door).  I had asked them to give me an estimate on replacing the motor for the power window, not realizing they were going to do more harm than good.
I called back Acheson during their 'investigation of my allegations,' and spoke to owner.   He was sympathetic. Upon further investigation he did indeed find the inside of my car door in the garage, the mechanic had discarded it.  The leather had been cut off with a knife because it was hanging from the door--they found that also in the shop.  They fixed the melted leather over the glove compartment.  Lastly, the car still has the same problem.  They tried to offer a 'goodwill,' oil change but of course I never returned.  It was complete and utter disrespect to leave parts of a 1994 BMW in the shop.  How could any owner NOT miss the inner part of their door and then be accused of lying?  It seemed the mechanic intentionally disrespected me and my car.   Did they do the repairs they claimed to have fixed. Given their treatment of my car, I truly doubt it!
