Initially took a few phone calls to get them to house to quote job. After looking at home it took about 2 days to get official quote. After comitting to the estimate, they did start to perform work right away. Took about 3 days to finish which was acceptable due to grout having to set, etc. After shower base was set, it was noted that there was a "bounce" in the base. As he put it, "Some give." Homeowner voiced concern. Advised by Kent that this is normal. Well......8 months later there is a crack in my shower base from where my 42 pound son stepped in. It had been getting "squishier" since original install date, almost as if the mortor bases set under the shower were not set right. Kent was called....about 5 times over 1.5 weeks before a phone call was eventually returned. He was advised of problem and said he would check it out. He showed up the next day and looked at base. He tried saying he thought something was wrong with the floor and thats why it "gave out" and cracked. (The floor had completely new 3/4" subfloor laid during remodel.) After discussion he sid he would have to go to local supplier to make sure he can still get the same matching tile since he would have to remove the bottom row to remove the base. Agreed, and he said he would be in contact. That was 1 month, and 3 phone calls ago. Pretty sure he isn't coming back to fix the job.
Description of Work: Corner shower base was set in recently remodeled bathroom. Walls were also tiled. Drywall around the area was already prepared, and plumbing up to shower base already in place. They had to set the shower base including connecting to plumbing, then tile and grout the walls. Glass shower doors were mounted by homeowner as they originally quoted $1200 for entire job. $600 was saved by homeowner doing this work on own because the "doors are time consuming and will save you lots of labor". Total job cost $600.
