Porter Moving Company

The move was within town although originally they had agreed to make the move across country when that was the original situation. They were sensitive and responsive to my mother's and our needs, and the move was handled quickly and well. We did the packing so they handled heavy boxes and furniture. Furniture pieces were very important to my mother, family pieces, and everything was moved and arrived without a problem. Very happy with their work and would recommend them.

Update.  We finished construction and are now unpacking the rest of our boxes.  I am appalled by what things have been packed together and the way they have been packed.  We have come across multiple items that have been destroyed because of how they were packed. I DO NOT recommend this company.  The more I see, the more frustrated I become.  Do yourself a favor and use a different company.




 The pack out was completed by the  owner(Kyle) and his wife (Lauren)on day 1, they did a good job.  They came back on the morning of the move to finish packing because they ran out of boxes the day before. They failed to finish packing out downstairs, leaving multiple pictures and a couple of clocks unpacked.  The garage never got packed at all. Both were pleasant, polite ,and worked efficiently. 
The move was handled by the owners (Kyle) crew, Kyle was not present for the move. The moving crew was made up of three college age men, only one of which had any motivation to get the job done.  All three men were polite, they just didn't move with any purpose, so when they had to make a second run to complete the move it was getting into the early evening and the amount of care they showed for the property in the second load was considerably less than the first load, they seemed upset they had to make the second trip and were considerably less careful with the handling and packing of the property in our garage.
This company had the best quote of the 4 movers I checked out thru Angie's list, and the invoice was within a couple hundred dollars of the quote, but there was a lack of professionalism and motivation on the part of the moving crew

They were SUPER! They moved everything in 2 hours and were so very nice and extremely professional. Kyle made sure that all our belongings were treated with care. All 3 of these men were friendly, efficient and caring.
I cannot thank them enough. I'm rating them A+.

The move went excellently. Movers arrived on time and were extremely careful in wrapping doorways and furniture so things did not get damaged. Even with some low ceilings and awkward corners they were able to get everything out of the old house and into the new one quickly and 100% intact. They made sure that all any of the doors/parts that needed to be removed so pieces would fit were put back exactly as they were. I couldn't be happier with this company!
