Mt Vernon Road Auto Center

We go to Ernie at Mt Vernon Road Auto Center for all of our auto service work. We recently made a lot of vehicle changes and Ernie has been able to assist with each vehicle's immediate needs and advise more on how the vehicle should perform in the future.

The only thing I don't like is the price. We even went to someone else at one time to compare and get a second opinion, but the price was very similar to the other place and I was happier with Mt. Vernon. It is a neat and clean garage, and the guy is very professional. We pretty much always talk to the owner. He is very easy going but professional. I really like him. At one time I said I am going to take the car to somebody else and he said it was fine. We ended up going back to him anyway. It was good and quick service. They put you in right away I just don't like the overall cost of car repairs, but that's not their fault. His prices are definitely comparable to other places. I had something done last fall and I thought it was really high so we compared it and he was right on the mark, he was actually a little cheaper. It's really clean for a garage. I tried calling him at 5:01, and he closes at 5:00 so he didn't answer the phone. He opens at 7 and closes at 5.

They were very punctual and professional. They did an inspection at a potential buyer's request of a vehicle that we were selling. I found their inspection to be very honest. They found some issues with the vehicle, but they were valid repairs needed and the estimate they gave for the repairs was reasonable. They were fair to both parties. I would use them again.

We've got real good service there. They were very upfront, gave us an estimate and stayed to the estimate. We went to two different places and they gave us a written item by item charge and labor estimate. Then they came up with one little thing different when they were actually doing it and they called us before they did it. The shop was amazingly clean for an auto repair and they were very professional. I was really happy with it, even though it was expensive. We've got an itemized bill.
