On our old water heater, the pilot light would keep going out after the water reached the thermostat temperature, so we'd only have hot water for a brief period of time each day before we'd have to manually stick a lighter under the unit and re-light the pilot light. We had another service company come out to try to address the issue, but they didn't resolve the issue, so we called in Master Plumbing.
The repairman arrived in a timely fashion, and slipped on booties to cover his work shoes. He determined that the water heater was over 20 years old in our house (not really a surprise!). He recommended a new water heater, and had one called in to be delivered on another truck while he was removing the old water heater. In a matter of about 2 hours, he had completely replaced the new water heater.
I would highly recommend Master Plumbing for water heater replacement! The repairman was courteous, clean, professional and efficient. He answered all of my questions about our new water heater.

My initial service request was to have a clogged pipe cleared that was causing water to backup in the drain of a finished basement.
This was accomplished in a profession and timely manner.
While Sean was here, I asked that he check our original construction sump pump. He tested the unit with a diagnostic tool that validated my suspicion that it did in fact need to be replaced. I appreciated that he was able to replace the sump pump on the same visit so I didn't have to take additional time away from work.
My positive experience aligned with the majority of Angie's List reviews for Master Plumbing.

The fixtures we purchased were junk. They broke within several months of use. We returned to the business and asked for their help with the poor quality. They just laughed at us (yes literally). The office people were rude and unprofessional in 1997.

"Dear (removed member name), I’m so sorry you had a negative experience with my company 18 years ago. Years ago, when we were a new construction company, the builders were very specific about which fixtures to provide. The decision was made solely by the builder, regardless of our recommendations. Often they would specify that we use products below the quality level we preferred. Unfortunately, this was out of our hands. Additionally, we never got to communicate with the home buyers during the process, as the builders withheld any contact information from us. We no longer are involved in building new homes. We now specialize in service and remodeling. Regarding my staff being anything other than professional, I’m baffled by this statement. I always have, and continue to train my staff to treat our clients as we would want to be treated. This is evidenced by our winning the Angie’s List Super Service Award in 2012, 2013, and 2014, since we joined. Only the top 5% of contractors get this award. In your case, an incident that happened so long ago is not something I can research, to respond appropriately. I tried, but our records are shredded after the seven year IRS mandated period. We don’t have the physical space to store older records. I’d love to have a second chance with your family using our services, to prove how we stand out from our competition. Dave Judd President"

The whole process went very well! First time my wife and I needed to call a plumber and John was great. He walked us through the work we requested and did exactly what we needed. He went above and beyond in a few spots to help me out in the future as we finish the basement. Reasonable price and the place was cleaner than what we had it when we left. I saw them on Angie's list here at the top and am glad I called them. I emailed them on a Wednesday night, they called me Thursday and sent someone on Friday morning. That's hard to find with plumbers these days as I did call multiple to just try and get a quote from them. We will call them again in the future for sure.

Called them at 9:30 AM and a technician came out approximately 1 hour later. Talk about fast service! Gave me an estimate of the cost and explained what was going on with the old one and what my options were. I elected to replace it with a larger capacity water heater and he was all done in less than 2 hours. I had to make quite a few calls to the office and Diane was extremely patient and pleasant! Very pleased with the work, and will definitely call them again if needed! Bryan was very nice and patient with my animals too, who were all over the place.

This plumber was the fourth plumber I called for this job. The first two refused to do the job and the third couldn't fit me in for three weeks. Master Plumbing was able to come to fix the valve at a day and time which was convenient to me. The plumber who arrived was pleasant and very professional. He had the entire job finished within 20 minutes and left the work area cleaner than when he arrived. The prices were fair and the quality exceptional. This will be the plumber I will call first from now on.

This was the second service provided by the provider. He came right on time after calling 30 minutes in advance. He worked on the spot for 1.5 hour effectively and vigorously. He explained the problem and he was open and honest about what he saw and what he did to fix it. He was very courteous and pleasant at all times. He cleaned after himself diligently.
