They have good quality. They have been very punctual. They had a little office clerical problem on the price but they finally cleared it up. The person that recharges our air conditioning and does the check out is very personable, knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend him.

Installation went well. Afterwards, we received comments, e.g., on how well they sealed and finished the duct work and designed the system. The attached humidifier did not work but after we called, the technician fixed that without cost - had to rewire something. He also took time to explain 'how things work'. He also recommended closing off an outside vent that would have allowed wintry air to chill the basement.

From start to finish, everything went very well. The sales person was very prompt and professional during the estimate. We were able to come up with a very fair price for the project. He was also very good at following up on my questions. Installation took just over 1 day and was done very professionally. Work area was very clean after the job. They provided me with all the forms to submit to get my utility rebates. So far, the new system is working well. I have not used their services in the past, but I plan to use them for any future repair and service needs.

In calling in the issue I received a great office response and a prompt scheduling for the following day. Once the assessment was done, I received a call from the repairperson with a detailed report. We actually did some brainstorming for getting to the root cause of the problem (something we had been doing over the past few weeks) along with some suggestions for what should be done in the spring. It reinforced my over all experience from all parts of the Ilten organization. I will continue to call them knowing I will have an honest, thorough and worry-free experience.

Estimator was on time and proposed great options for a tricky installation. Work performed quickly and installer took great care working around tenant property. Price was great compared to some other local options. Really felt like estimator and installer communicated well together which made all the difference.

We’ve been quite happy with them. We know one of the principles in this company which is why we’ve been using them for years. With the refrigerator, they came up with a really workable solution and they saved us a lot of money; they did some custom cabinet work as well as installing a refrigerator. We’ve used them for service which has also been satisfactory. Everything has been done to perfection, really, and things have been done the way they said they would be done.

When I realized I needed my furnace and AC replaced, I got three quotes. Ilten's appeared to be the best quote based on the price and quality of equipment, plus they were recommended by friends. Everything was smooth, the install was good quality, and everything happened exactly when and how they said it would.

My wife talked to the woman over the telephone about the machine she wanted. The woman was very polite and knowledgeable. The purchase was made over the phone with delivery and set up included. They also agreed to replace the original dryer vent hose which was several years old. They arrived as scheduled, installed the machine and replaced the dryer vent. The technician had to get a part, but explained that he had another appointment, but promised to return in about an hour or an hour and a half. He did, and finished the job. We were very pleased.

The install was done by a thorough professional who arrived on time, with all the equipment and tools needed, and cleaned up after himself. I used Ilten's because they had installed the previous furnace, possibly when the house was built; their reputation in Cedar Rapids is long established and unblemished as far as I know.

Great

Our air conditioner went on the blink during the flood. Iltens was also in the flood, but they were up and running and came right out for a repair job. Turned out, we needed a new air conditioning unit. They got us estimates right away and we had a new air conditioner within a week — during the hottest week of the year.
