Colony's HVAC technician arrived at our home within an hour of our call. John was knowledgeable and relentless in locating the problem. We are extremely pleased with Colony's service, as we were with the initial installation of the system some years ago.

FO NOT USE COLONY! They will tell you they can't get a replacement part, and tell you to get a replacement unit. Then months later they will claim they found a part, and tell your insurance it could have been repaired! Whether it's a technical lying saying we need a replacement when we don't, or they are just mad we got a replacement from someone else, either way I'm out THOUSANDS that insurance won't pay for due to their negligence.

First repair on air conditioning unit since installed by Colony in 2014, service technician Marty was knowledgeable and very friendly, replaced capacitor and up and running again. Extra cost was due to after hours service call.

Very professional team that is more than willing to educate homeowner without being condescending or try to pull the wool over your eyes. Steve Thatcher spent 75 minutes touring the house (3 stories, ~5,000 sq ft.) to fully understand how the original system had been installed and then explained why it had never been able to cool the upstairs properly. Then sat me down and asked a series of questions; my answers drove the decision about what to install. Did not try to upsell, and in fact made recommendations that saved money. Due to size, the house needs two HVAC systems and the install took 2.5 days. The team that installed (Mark, Adam, and Peyton) were punctual, respectful, and careful. The work started in the day they said it would. They worked efficiently and cleaned up fully. Installation presented a few challenges, and they consulted with others and then explained issues to me so I could weigh in. Of course, this occurred during the summer heat wave and they made sure one of the systems was functioning by the end of day 1. Thank goodness! Price is before the MidAmerica energy rebate, which should decrease cost by about $1,000.

Excellent, from the day we walked into the store through all the steps to be sure it was proper size, properly placed, according to all legal requirements. Absolutely excellent service--we as well use Colony for our annual check on our heating and cooling systems.

They are an "A" contractor. I think their price is fair. They were quick to respond to my request for service. They accessed the problem quickly. They gave me a price estimate for fixing that. I was able to choose, without pressure, when I wanted the repair done. As soon as the part was in, they came in and took care of it in a short amount of time. I was very pleased with the service. They were a referral from another home owner here in the complex. They have another good referral.

They set fire to my house installing the ac unit wrong. It damaged my furnace, flames and smoke from behind the thermostat, etc... they came back and fixed the bare minimum. Left burnt wires, etc. then they lied and said it was normal for an ac unit to sound like a jet plane and the electrical popping behind the thermostat was normal. About six years later, the unit has completely failed, the same circuit board in my furnace that was fried in the fire is burned out again. I had the service tech out cost me $87 for him to tell me that the unit is probably gone. He also told me they had installed a 3 ton unit, it's grossly undersized for the size of my house. I was told a 5 ton was being installed. Called Doug, the GM and he spent 20 minutes looking for any excuse to avoid responsibility. It's 95 degrees this weekend... He told me that I'm going to have a hot weekend and that we were done. So they lied or just failed to tell me they were installing a much smaller unit. They set fire to my house, lied to me and are now trying to blame me for the failure of the unit. Thousands of dollars later, I have no ac, a damaged furnace and a malicious GM who is far more concerned with covering his *** than taking ownership of his poor training, quality control and other failures that led to ripping me off while gloating over my families suffering in this extreme heat. Stay away from this company... They'll lie and rip you off then demand you keep paying to fix their mistakes.

I have 2 fireplaces and then the heater. It's a gas fireplace so he takes everything apart, cleans it and makes sure the gas is doing what it's supposed to and not leaking and he just took care of everything.

It's inexpensive as far as I'm concerned.

I have them take care of my heating and A/C and they are amazing. They've been to my house twice. In the summer they checked the air and in the fall they check the heating and the fireplace. In fact I will be using them, they keep coming back.

The service was great. He made sure to wear booties over his shoes and protected my carpet with a tarp. He replaced the blower and spent a good amount of time cleaning the fireplace and checking everything. He also let me know of an additional feature that is available if desired (a dimmer switch to control the blower). We've already called them again to come do the cleaning/maintenance check on another fireplace since this one looks so good now. Since they are coming back, we are also adding the dimmer switches so I'm glad he had mentioned that option.

The service man had not seen this type of furnace before because of its age but he checked with his contacts and was able to complet his work satisfactorily. The installation of the water heater that took place several months later was done without a hitch.

We called in the morning and they were out first thing that same afternoon. Technician (Henry) came out, listened to the furnace do this, and determined right away we needed a new thermostat. He had one in the truck, put it in, and furnace is running great. Henry was very knowledgeable, polite, and friendly. He took off his shoes when in the house and cleaned up everything afterwards. We were not charged for a service call since we had Colony do a maintenance check on the furnace this fall. We have used Colony for maintenance on our A/C, heating and fireplace for years. We'll definitely will keep using them.

We got charged over $525 for labor for an accidental missed appointment! Appointment was originally set up for my son early on a Saturday morning. He had gotten scheduled to work late at the hospital that night before and did not come home until 4 am. He is typically a pretty light sleeper. When the worker came at 7 am he said that he knocked on the door but got no response. When my son woke up a little later he saw that the van was still parked out front apparently broken down. When we called to apologize they said that they would have to charge an office call for the missed appointment, which was understandable. We rescheduled on a very short notice later that week on a Tuesday when they called at 7:20 am to tell me they can come over in 20 minutes because they had a sudden cancellation. But when the final bill came after the work was done there was a $525 charge on top of the agreed $4200 for "Saturday Labor"! How can they justify charging an entire day's pay for an accidental missed knock!? I feel they changed me for their broken down van! When I was told that an office fee would be charged I was not expecting to be charged for an entire day and feel that was very excessive!

We called Colony this morning and they were out early this afternoon. The tech, Jerry, almost immediately noticed the capacitor had burned out. He had one in the truck, put it in, and checked unit to make sure everything else was okay. He was very courteous and explained everything well. Excellent customer relations. We do have them regularly check our heating and air to make sure everything is running efficiently and we have never been disappointed. Will definitely stay with them.

Customer service was excellent, especially the sales manager, Steve Thatcher. He found a solution that was much less expensive than other options we had previously considered. The technician was also great because he was on-time, courteous and explained what he was doing. They put plastic and carpet runs down throughout the area to protect our flooring and carpet.
