They said the alignment would be between $65-$75. They called and said before they could check for the alignment, the car needed a lot of other things. I told them them not to do anything to it. We went to pick it up and they gave me a bill for $21.55. I never asked them for an estimate for any other work, I just took it in there for an alignment. They could have easily called me and said what the truck needed.

The total cost was 228 including the diagnostic fee. They also had very courteous and had a nice waiting area

This is the 3rd major repair to 2 of our cars we've had Al's take care of for us in the last 3-4 months. All of the repairs were completed as promised and we've had excellent results with all of the repairs. As to this particular repair, everything went as planned. Pricing matched the estimate. Convenience in dropping off the car and picking it up was superb (open until 10:00 p.m.). Very professional in getting requirements and symptoms for each of the repairs. In each case, the diagnosis was correct and the repairs permanently resolved the problems. Excellent service!!

I've used Al's for nearly 20 years. They have always done a thorough job, explained precisely what was needed vs. what could wait (but was coming) and completed work on time. They've also checked issues that didn't require a repair and made simple adjustments without replacing anything. They've rescued a vacation when I had a fully loaded car and a major flat tire in about 20 minutes. They've earned my trust over that time and I would heartily recommend them to anyone.

I did not want to take truck in just to hear an idea of how much they will charge me.
I called them cause of the reviews they have, but they were also the most expensive out all I caled.

They set up an appointmentto repair the mount and explained that they can transport me home and pick me up when my vehicle is finished. A very nice employee drove me home without any wait. I was very impressed by the service and will absolutley go back again. I have a 95 Cadillac Deville that has low miles so will continue to have repairs at this time with this business.

I went to Them just today. They were recommended to me from my nephew, who was a race car driver. They always tell you beforehand what the problem is and what is going to cost. Every time I go down there, they would have to put air on them. They replaced all four tires of my car. They are extremely on us and I have recommended them to many people. They are very well known. I've never ever heard of anybody that has gone to them that has spoke negative about them.

They're all right and there's nothing I really dislike. They do what they say they are going to do and don't do anything extra or charge you extra. If they want to do something more they'll let you know and get your approval first. They get everything done on time.

They always find the problem. They are quick and fair with their prices. We get what we pay for.

They do plenty of work for me. It's a great shop to go to. They're more expensive than most but you get what you pay for and they stand behind what they do. You don't get extra services if you don't want them. They're professional and sit you down to explain to you what's going on. They're one of the best in Cedar Rapids. It's well worth the money. They'll call you if they run across something and don't do the work without your permission. It takes a while to get in to see them. You have to make an appointment. They're booked out a week usually. Something happened to the timing belt on day 32 and their warranty was for only 30 days. It wasn't their fault. They replaced it for free even though it wasn't under warranty. The mechanics are certified. They respond quickly when you call them.

Initially auto was taken for inspection of the problem. Mechanic drove auto to demonstrate the problem, then made diagnosis. Determined that they did not have the part, but told us that the part aould be ordered, so take the auto back home and return when the part comes in. Took my car to Goodyear on Williams 1st and was very disappointed. Needed an oil change and my e-brake looked at. Said I needed back breaks and that it would cost $120 just to look at the e-brake for the cable was broke at the handle not at the back break. Didn't have that kind of money then. So I went to Angie's list and found Al's. I am ever so glad I did!!! They were very kind on the phone and asked if I could bring the car in that evening. I couldn't get it in right away so they said 1st thing in the morning would work for them. I needed a new washer pump at this time along with needing my e-brake fixed. Told me right away what the pump would cost and would call me to tell me how much it would cost for the e-brake. They called to tell me it would only cost $30 to fix my break cable!!!! WHAT?!! I said isn't it disconnected at the handle?? Goodyear told me the console needed to be taken off to get to it. He said no... there is a small cover right under the break handle and you take that off and reattach the cable. Thanks Goodyear, you won't ever see my there again!! They told me I may think about getting back tires if I wanted to get through the winter. I said I only work 5 miles away, he said no problem hope to see you next year to talk about getting 4 new tires at the same time, which they recommend any way. That was great. Didn't push me to buy 4 tires when I only needed 2 and said the ones I had will get me through. Everyone talked to me like a human being unlike Goodyear who saw a woman and tried to fool me. Thanks Al's full service. I highly recommend you to everyone needing honest car repair.

They are very nice and very good. If they can't fix it they would refer us to someone who could. We've been using them for 20 years now.

I have had 3 major repairs and two very minor ones with Al's. They have worked me in quickly each and every time. Once I needed a headlight installed (it's painfully tricky on my car) at basically immediate notice- even though they were busy they got me quickly on the road again. They have correctly diagnosed the 3 major issues I have brought to them, and the repairs actually wound up being less than what I expected them to be- their estimates are right on target and lower than other local shops. The service staff are friendly and genuinely want to help you out.

The experience was good. They gave an accurate estimate of the price beforehand(came out to be a few less in the end). Communicated the status of the work progress well.

I had an excellent experience with this company. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Their prices are very reasonable and they are very professional. After they looked at my car, they explained in detail what it was that my car needed. They noticed a couple other things that would need done in the near future but they were not pushy about getting it done right away! Excellent company! Friendly staff! Outstanding! Thanks!

great, made appointment, work done in a reaonable amount of time. Coffee provided if wait. Have used Al's 5 times and been satisfied each time. Good worhmanship and cost is resonable.

Made an appointment a few days beforehand to have some work done on my car while I would be out of town. Al's even gave me a ride to the airport and performed the service as planned and had my car ready when I got back. They called before performing the brake service to let me know about how much it would be, which was pretty accurate. Not the cheapest place in town, but good, honest service is worth the price.

I noticed the leak after work on a Wednesday night at around 5:30. Al's was recommended by a friend so I dropped the car off with them about 6:00. They were able to look at it the same night and called with an estimate around 8:00. They had to order a new heater core so they could not start until it arrived on Thursday. I was able to pick up my car on Friday. I really appreciated the fact that they work late and were able too give me an estimate the same night. They also warned me that the glove box would have to be removed so I wouldn't be concerned if things weren't in exactly the same place. A very good experience overall.
