We purchased carpet from Randy's in Cedar Rapids and had Ace (Dave and James) install it. This combination provided the best quality carpet, best price, and best installation experience. They were prompt, efficient, organized, cleaned up and were done in 5 hours doing a dining room and living room. They also took time to educate us and made positive, professional suggestions on various ways to lay the carpet considering location, lighting, and longevity. I would strongly recommend having them lay your carpet no matter where you purchase it.

Very reliable and great customer service. David fixed a hole our dog chewed in the carpet. You can't tell there was a hole ever there. It was a little pricey, but not as bad as having to get new carpet!

The Ace Floor Guys repaired the floor of the living quarters of my horse trailer/camper with vinyl/linoleum material. This was very difficult and intricate work and also involved repairing the sub-floor (which turned out to be an involved custom job as well). They laid the kitchen, dinette and bathroom in one piece with no seams which involved multiple angles, slant walls, corners, doorways, etc. The completed job looks absolutely perfect. I could not possibly be more impressed. The work took pure artistry and extreme attention to detail. They were also great to work with, responsive and true professionals. I highly recommend the Ace Floor Guys.

He is a great guy but little pricy.

We have worked with Ace Floor on two projects--ceramic tile flooring installation in the fire place room and travertine tile flooring installation in the kitchen. The quality of work exceeded our expectations; in fact, I won't let anyone else do our tile projects from now on. Kathleen and Dave have experience with all kinds of tile materials and they can install any pattern you'd like. Kathleen also has an interior design degree and will make valuation design suggestions. We are hoping to work with them this summer on kitchen backsplash!

My husband and I were halfway through renovations when I flooring guys quit. David was so great and came to our rescue! He did a great job and even fixed the other contractors mistakes. He was very reliable and professional. He installed our flooring and did an excellent job! Would definitely recommend him to everyone.

It was a great experience working with this company. We had them install LVT and engineered hardwood on the entire main level of our house, as well as engr. hardwood on the landing upstairs and installing new carpeting on the stairs. Once finished, the flooring looked great and it looked like a new house. And they took care of everything down to the minor details. We will definitely use them again for other projects.

This was a good experience from start to finish. The expertise shined through and I was comfortable for this company to take over my house for a week and get it done and that they did. I plan on going with them for another project in the future.

Dave and Kathleen are a stupendous duo! Back in February, we put a feeler out to two companies we learned about from Home Advisor; Ace Floor Guys were the only ones to respond, responded quickly, and figured out a way to squeeze us in in March to their schedule that was jam packed through June. We were novices at hiring anyone to do tile flooring, and we had a disgusting bathroom last remodeled likely in the 60s or 70s that needed great care. They normally are their own people--but were fine with working with our GC. We were having a really hard time finding decent tile, and they recommended a number of stores, as well as rules of thumb for how to pick the best materials. They were there for us by phone and e-mail when we needed to consult with them about whether something we were leaning towards would do the trick. Kathleen was frank about pros and cons of various items, and both Dave and Kathleen reassured us about our concerns about future water damage, given the terrible shape our old bathroom was in. I saw them diligently work all aspects of the job, and they have a great partnership in work and in marriage. I loved conversing with them when they had a chance. The work they did completely transformed a depressing, dingy room into a place we enjoy spending time in and no longer mind cleaning, since it's so nice and airy in there, now. Two thumps WAY up for Ace Floor Guys! They are local gems.

I had patch work done . I don't know how they did it but it looks like I never had any laminate missing. I was down to the subfloor too. Just tell them exactly how you want it done and they will do it.

Dave and Kathleen are very professional and hard workers. Dave was very courteous, he went extra miles to help me to fix the toe kick and the wiring of my range. He has done a fantastic job and we will certainly hire them again for other flooring projects at home. I have already referred them to friends. Very satisfied!!

Dave was professional did a great job. He gave me a courtesy call when he knew he would be alittle late. He was in and out in just a couple of hours and got the speed bump out of my living room carpet. Very happy with the work that was done.
