Everything went as advertised: he was punctual, thorough, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I don't know where the last negative review came from, but that doesn't reflect our experience at all. I would recommend him.

From the moment Ron Jensen arrived it was a disaster. Firstly he let himself in unannouced 20 minutes early. I provide home daycare & was upstairs tending to sleeping children. I eventually heard a noise and realized someone was in my home. With 2 babies on my hips I desended the staircase & confronted him. He made no apoligies & simply said he didn't think anyone was home. When the appointment was made I specifically let the company know I would be present and gave a specific time because of naptime. This was only the beginning of trouble with Mr. Jensen. His manner with the buyers was nothing short of inflamitory & almost frantic in nature. Often he was red faced and breathing like he was taking his last breath. I was not able to walk along on the inspection, but multiple times he was within ear shot of me. He made claims that had no basis in fact. For instance, he alarmed the buyers by saying the gas supply on my fireplace was dangerous & needed repaired right away. (There is nothing wrong- I had it inspected by a professional & my local fire dept). He also advised the client that siding was coming off my house. ( We could see no such thing so again I had it inspected by a siding specialist that told me whomever told me this was nuts- as my siding is in good shape & no repairs needed.) His report listed a problem bath tub in the master bath....I don't even have a bathtub! I could go on and on with the multiple errors & down right fiction regarding his so called inspection. He even had me scared until we reviewed every item he deamed a problem. In the last 9 days I have had 6 professionals in their field review the items he noted on his report and all proved to be nothing more then fiction or are so minor that they hardly could be considered an issue. Rightfully he did note a need for replacement windows- but this we already knew as did the buyer. Thanks to Ron the buyers were told there were no screens for any of the windows ( wrong! The jerk actually had to move the stack to get to the garage attic space!) He also claimed none of the windows would open-again. Wrong again-although the cranks are not working- every window does open. In fact we had 2 windows open at the time of inspection! He warned them that the windows were a safety hazzard.....what? His report was difficult to even take seriously it was so incredibaly biased and wrong, wrong wrong. The bottom line is this jerk cost us the sale of our home and in these times, this is truely unforgivable. His final act of irresponsability and gaul was to plop himself down at my dining table while I was trying to feed children and spend 30 minutes going over the report with the buyers. I wish I had kicked him out. If I could sue him I would. He had the buyers so scared they would not even take the time to read the reports from the various professionals we hired. Ron Jensen and Amerispec will never be permitted in a home of mine again. I have related my experience to several people and am hearing similar problems with this company. Do yourselves a favor and do not permit this company or this man in your home he clearly has no training and is very unprofessional.

I'm going to keep this short and to the point. I own a 4 level split home. The inspector went up in my attic to look at the insulation on the top floor above the bedrooms. He saw insulation up there. The area above the kitchen and Living Room is a lofted (angled ceiling) space, and was a little hard to see. I specifically asked him to check the insulation in that area of the house. His response was "I'm sure there's insulation over there too." My impression was that he didn't want to crawl up into the un-finished attic space and crawl over 5-10 feet to shine his flashlight into that area. That's all it would have taken for him to look. There was NO insulation, and he never looked. It went years before I figured it out, and had a handyman add insulation. I spent money on a HVAC person to come out and see why our A/C could never keep up, and it was determined that the AC was fine. Who knows how much I wasted on energy cost. I will never use their service again, and neither should you.

Everytime we work with Amerispec they are great. All of the furnace and air conditioners are looked over with care and are very thoroughly inspected. The inspectors are great to work with, great communication skills, punctual, and knowledgeable. We have used them on a business to business aspects but i am sure anyone that works here would refer them to anyone they know who is purchasing a home.
