Olive Construction has failed to build  me the house addition they agreed and were contracted to build. The list of mistakes are numerous and I will build from least to greatest in level of annoyance of the 3 of the worst mistakes made by this company.
Olive Construction was not aware of codes regarding egress windows in bedrooms. Thus Olive Construction bought the wrong sized windows. Lacking integrity Olive Construction blamed this mistake on the blue prints which were designed by a licensed engineer.( The blue prints had obviously larger windows in the bedrooms than any other room.) Olive Construction then charged me an additional 1200 to purchase the proper size windows.
Olive Construction failed to put in place the proper footings and settings for the crawl space access in  a hallway closet. Olive Construction then refused to correct this mistake. Instead cut an unapproved hole in my basement wall that did not meet the 24 inch by 24 inch requirement for entering a crawl space. Olive Construction then wanted to charge me another 300 to correct this crawl space access to the proper size. I already paid for one of their mistakes. I refused to pay for another of their mistakes.Olive Construction then refused to build the beautiful  triple peak roof. Lacking integrity once more Olive Construction again blamed it on the blue prints saying the blue prints were bad. Rather than owning up to the simple fact he was cutting corners and trying to reduce his costs. This part is the most heart breaking as my house now looks like 2 houses rammed together.
For this addition it took Olive Construction over 3 months to build. This was only for the exterior. Nothing interior was done by this company. A proper and respectable company should have had it completed in under 2 months. Additionally, whenever my wife approached them about their time frame Olive Construction simply insulted her by repeatedly saying
?Oh, you?re just getting excited.? Further more, It was my understanding that my wife would go along with Olive Construction to hand pick the windows and doors. This was not the case. Olive Construction bought what they wanted. In the end Olive Construction also failed to hold up their part of the agreement and make arrangements  to reinstall gas line and I had to do the finger work.

Butch and Dave are great. Butch comes out for the estimates, Dave does the work. They bring in electricians, plumbers, roofers,etc. if the job is beyond their skills. Since its just the two of them and they report to each job it can take a little while, but we think the pricing is fair and we could get a lot of little things done at once. We wanted to have a vent fan installed in a bathroom. Dave and the electrician spent over an hour trying to figure out how it could be done. In the end it wasn't possible and we weren't charged. A friend recommended them to us.
