I've never taken it back after the work is completed, because it's always done right. He doesn't add anything to what he says, and it's always been what he says.

First call, adviser tries to tell me it was a bad battery. After I told her the battery was two months old, she went back to the mechanic and confirmed it was the alternator not the battery an hour later. Shawn's was authorized to replace the alternator. At my option, I requested the serpentine belt and tensioner be replaced given the age of the vehicle. Total bill was $605.29.
Upon returning home, I decided to evaluate some of the costs, mainly the cost of the serpentine belt which was priced at $54 which seemed high. The belt installed by Shawn's was from Carquest which I priced on their website at $30. So basically, Shawn's market it up 80%! I suspect they purchased this belt for less than $30 so it is closer to a 100% mark-up. Add to this a shop charge of $40??? I realize auto repair centers routinely markup parts to make additional revenue but excessively overcharging customers is not a good way to garner repeat business.
Tip: If your going to take your car here, bring your own parts if you know exactly what you need done, otherwise be aware that the probability for being bilked on parts and other incidental charges is high and will add to your bill.

Shawn's is our "go to" shop for all repair and maintenance work on our 2004 Town and Country. The work is guaranteed (they replaced the mechanism that makes the window go up and down, and about a year later it failed, so they replaced it again at no charge - it was a faulty replacement part). We always feel like we get a very fair price. We have had quite a bit of work done, and they have never tried to tell us we need something we don't need. Everyone is friendly. They only got a B on professionalism because it is a very laid back atmosphere, so you may be in line a few minutes while conversations with other customers are taking place, but remember you will also get that same level of care. They are not "all business", but I like that because they seem to really get to know their customers, so you feel you are being taken care of.
I have recommended them to many people, and will continue to take our vehicles there as service is needed.
