During a routine oil change and pre-road trip check-up, the mechanics at CarX discovered that the driver's side rear wheel bearings and associated parts needed to be replaced. I made an appointment for the following Saturday morning at 8AM. When I showed up, they had all original equipment parts and were ready to go. They had originally estimated 2-3 hours to do the job, but they were finished in under 2 hours.
Car has ran beautifully ever since. They also discovered that the car needed a new bushing and they replaced that as well. Great job and they even came in under the original estimated price even with the bushing. Great shop to do business with, especially after the fiasco we had with Davenport Goodyear Service Center on NW Blvd.

Auto Service
Purchase of new tires had them mounted, balanced and aligned. That seem to go ok until Car X Tire and Auto tried to get over $1000 for new shocks and struts that were not needed. The tires they put on seem to ride smooth and don't see any issues with the tires yet. The work Car X Tire and Auto did seems to be ok. I will not go back to Car X Tire and Auto of Bettendorf, Iowa, on 2720 Devil's Glen Road because they tried to get authorization to do repairs that were not needed. Car X Tire and Auto tried to take me to the cleaners when Car X Tire and Auto saw I needed brake work done and that's unacceptable ethics. NEVER AGAIN.
