I dropped my vehicle off at the service department at 7:00 AM, was greeted courteously, checked in, and ready for a shuttle by 7:05 AM. The free shuttle was able to provide a ride all the way from Ankeny to West Des Moines at my place of employment. The driver was courteous and professional and the vehicle was clean and well kept. I received a call about midway through the day to let me know that the technicians diagnosed a bad driver side rear wheel bearing and completed the repair. They also road tested the repair to make sure it was completely fixed. The Service Advisor explained that it was covered under warranty so there would be no charge for the repair when I came to pick it up. The shuttle arrived at my workplace at exaclt the time stated and onyl had to make a couple of stops on the way back to Ankeny to pick up a couple more customers. I arrived at the dealership and was greeted by the Service Desk employees who promptly took my information and had someone pull my vehicle around to the front.
Overall, a great experience from a great dealership that is really there to take care of their customers from purchase to service.

Very good. They had quoted me a price when I inquired about them, but when I got the bill it was about $300 more. I called to ask why the price was different. Within an hour, a manager of the department called me to tell me that the clerk at the parts department had quoted me the wrong price, but that they were honoring the price quoted. I offered to meet them half way, but he refused and told me that since they quoted me a price, that's what they were going to charge. Within two days I got a check in the mail for the difference. These are the type of businesses I like to do business with.

Karl Chevrolet does an excellent job in all aspects. They are always listen to what you tell them, they always give you a call to let you know what they found, whether or not it should be replaced now or whether it's something to keep an eye on and can wait, and they always let you know what the cost is going to be. The price they charge is always what they quote, or less. They are just an all around professional dealership.

It didn't cost anything because they gave us 2 or 3 free oil changes when we bought it. They are very friendly. They listen to us. We told them what we wanted and when we got there they had a couple picked up. We liked the first one they showed us.

Their prices are good and their service is excellent. They are extremely helpful and they put the customer first. The first time we bought a car there the owner actually came out and congratulated us, so it's just a very welcoming atmosphere. The people are fantastic. They know what they are doing.

Stopped in for an unscheduled oil change and tire rotation. Pulled up to the service bay, left keys in car, and told waiting attendant what service we wanted. Left her a cell phone number and walked across the lot.
They were having a promotion on Chevy Volts and offered us a free hamburger dinner. By the time we finished eating, I had a message on my phone saying our vehicle was ready.
Paid at the counter and a tech went over our inspection results with us. They gave us a free premium car was token with our receipt.

The mechanics at Karl's are pretty good. The only complaint I would have is that they are slow. The environment there is very clean. They definitely pay attention to detail. The staff could work on their communication.

Great service. Made the appointment in advance and the service station was waiting for me. My car takes a synthetic oil so it is quite a bit more expensive than regular oil. The service folks are always friendly and leave the car in just as good, if not better, condition than when it was delivered. I also appreciate all of the community work that Karl does for the city.
